Chili Cruch is one of those staples that you should have in your larder, it goes with so many things and came lift so many dishes. This is the ultimate recipe for Chili Crunch, you will never need another Chili Crunch recipe after this. The recipe is by a Chef friend of mine, Eddi, who runs Mochi in Vienna, and he was kind enough to let me share his Chili Crunch recipe with you. I hope you enjoy it!

Excellent recipe, Cristian! And so much more fun to do it yourself than buying a can in the supermarket. It goes with so many things like you say. Also a good start to experiment with more spices etc. Looking forward to the episode when you make kimchi, I make it regularly and it also keeps good a long while in the fridge.

Glad to see you back Micke! Kimchi was actually one of the first thing I did when I started my channel 4 years ago (you can tell by the quality of the filming 😊). I also enjoy making it with Daikon, or white Kimchi is also very nice. I love Kimchi too.

Looks great, Christian. Quick question though, would red chili flake (like the ones you put on pizza) be an acceptable sub for the dried whole chili?

Hi James, I don’t see why not. I have not tried it, but in the end if you chop up whole dried chilis or use flakes, should not make a big difference. Maybe they are a bit less “fruity”, that is the only think I could imagine, but give it a try.
