Hey brad I just bought one like that one I’m very excited about it, but just to find out that my gas thank needs to be replace due to corrosion, I didn’t notice when I was inspecting it , remember this trucks don’t stay local and mine has a sticker from Canada, what I learn is to pay attention to white poder around the van like salt residue around the truck, I like your videos good job man safe travels

Great info I put a bid on one these used trucks to convert . I already have most of the internal stuff garaged . But this seems like a really good thing to put into practice before purchasing especially if you plan is to be your home.

It’s been a great trick, the deals are definitely out there. Keep watching Fb marketplace and Craigslist. They pop up quite often

IDK man I wonder if a sailboat is a better choice? Marina fees are not best for your budget but you can get a outboard motor and sail away from the marina anchor for free if you really want to save.

Bought mine in Dallas for $12k there were others cheaper but this one was very well taken care of. That was more important to me. I looked at one for 10k and it was so rough I told the guy I wouldn’t even make an offer…bad tires, check engine light and abs light on, messed up wiring under the hood, broken interior pieces all over the cab, dents in the fender. It needed a complete restoration lol

(Spit) I saw a video of an old gamer went to buy an old crt TV for $35 off an ad. He got it to work in minutes and said he'll buy it and pulled out the money. Fella was like "Oh. Well it's working now. $200." Video guy was miffed and said this situation is expected for old tv like this and worth only $35. "$200 take it or leave it!" So video guy says leave it and walks out. Just as an older woman pulls up. She asks if he's there for the TV He says annoyed, yeah but guy hiked up the price to $200. She got mad and said WAIT HERE! (LOL is anyone reading this?) She went inside. Yelling and commotion. She comes out nice. "Did you still want the TV for $35?" Why, yes. Guy comes out. Grown son living at home no prospects and loads it into video guy's car. Takes the $35. Lady was like thank you, have a nice day, sir. Lol Was that a video? I think so. It all blends together.

I am confused about getting the lower insurance on a box truck, I was told the insurance gets cheaper one it is officially a camper. I want a box truck for the head room. Here in my area most used box trucks have wooded floors and also have fiberglass roofs which I do not want. I am no builder so I am interested in looking for a box truck with not a lot of extra things to build. I am no mechanic so thanks for the pointers and advice.

If you’re worrying about having to build stuff you should buy a shuttle bus. Door, windows, and roof vent already installed. You can just load it up with regular furniture and hit the road

Did you haggle? If so, how amenable was the guy? Some buyers lowball (been on that end) but some sellers act like everyone is lowballing.
