I’ve been lucky enough to visit many times. I tell people going to Copenhagen to go and not watch the KZbin videos on it because it’s all ridiculous clickbait nonsense. Not only is it not dangerous it’s very safe. I tell people not to judge it on the graffiti everywhere and just walk in. Ive spent many nights there till 3am by myself and always felt completely safe. It’s a beautiful and special community. Can’t wait to be back later this year.

This is a very cool place, there must be something you have misunderstood. They do Pay taxes and they do follow the rules in Denmark. But there are issues with hash and marihuana sales which is done in pusherstreet, a very small place of Christiana. So you are very wrong. Its a Beautyful place visited by many tourists every year.

There are a lot of untruths in this video unfortunately that are based on common and popular misunderstandings among tourists and new arrivals. The people who live here very much DO pay taxes. And because they pay taxes in Denmark they pay more taxes than most people anywhere in the world.

This place to be honest didn’t seem to be so dangerous as you was portraying it. Yeah a colourful neighbourhood but not that dangerous vgly as you was trying to paint it. The people around seems to be friendly and just minding their business. Also some road seem to be deteriorated but in the complex the neighbourhood seems to be well maintained and clean.

A lot of misinformation in this video. It's not considered the most dangerous place. It's generally not dangerous at all. They also do pay taxes. They are part of the society just the same as everybody else. Whether you work or are on social welfare, taxes are automatically deducted in Denmark.

It IS indeed considered the most dangerous place in Denmark, backed up by hard facts and statistics, and it is a very unfortunate consequence of the criminalization of cannabis and the brutal implementation of the anti cannabis laws. Before Pusher St had 'street' lights at night I sat on a bench just on Pusher St at the back wall of Woodstock. This was 2016, not long after a police officer was shot. It was totally dark. A number of people came and sat on the bench and we talked about various things. One was a Scouse contractor working on the power station and then one or two locals. I felt no danger or threat, couldn't even see the people I was talking with. This is not something I would ever do anywhere else. In 2011 the dealers in Pusher St let us shoot some video there, the only condition being that they were warned and one of them could look through the viewfinder of my camera. A polite request and a courteous attitude was all that was needed. I have been in Christiania in the middle of the night and never felt any threat or danger.

Pretty bad titel, its as safe at night, as it is during the day as long as you follow some pretty basic rules when you are at pusher street. Never had a problem and sometimes people are even more friendly at night even plus you get even more for your money because someone who's working night shift has been smokin all day will be there! And no you dont have to be brave to be there, there are kids running around even in pusher street. gunshots are also not normal, for 2 years now theres been 2 shootings thats 2 shootings out of 730 days able to be there and it used to only be once every fifth or tenth year. dont spread misinformation! (ive been there a lot since i was 14 so back from 2013) There is also a fourth rule, you cant yell cops (or cheese, 12 and whatever slang we use) if they arent coming in to clean the street. if you do they will beat you to a pulp.

It is safe at night. There are several (good) restaurants. Especially vegan/vegetarian and all organic. I don't know why they were warned to leave. Just don't visit "pusher street" just because you are nosy.

This is very inaccurate. Christiania is very safe. It may resemble areas that are typically unsafe but it is not at all dangerous. People there are very welcoming and kind. I’ve stayed out there as a foreigner all night many times by myself and never felt unsafe. It’s anything but lawless they have many reasonable and respected rules against drugs and violence. No one was going to hurt you for filming they’ll only tell you to stop. They also do pay for the land which is why they have businesses open to the public
