the last time my tribute 5 got an update, I ended up going into recovery and clearing the startup cache, or whatever its currently being called. this seemed to fix a few hiccups I'd had, including the phone taking a bit to finish loading up even once it got to the home screen. perhaps you could try clearing the cache on your phone? assuming you havent already.

just found out that you CAN have adoptable storage on the stylo 2. lg disabled it but it can be re-enabled by using adb. this works on both marshmallow and nougat. make sure you make a backup of sd card before doing this because it WILL wipe sd card. also those with hotspot issues, a new update was pushed to devices today to fix issues

I have the Lg Stylo 2 and i just updated it about a week ago. I have no problems what so ever. Smooth as butter,minimum lag,battery fresh to death,no problem.

DC Big Oso YAH That's awesome... I'm glad to hear that your Stylo 2 is working great on the new software... Mine works very good sometimes, but it has its moments where it's virtually unusable.

Do a complete factory reset and do a fresh installation. That will solve your issues. Never start a phone from a previous backup.

CV Tech Well...ever since I got it the screen goes dead, phone doesn't power on, is unresponsive to touch, won't power off or won't reboot. If I put it down for long...even 5-20 min it goes dead. I have to keep taking the battery out of it. It also gets really warm sometimes. I don't have a ton of apps but I have just a few 100MB of storage left. I had a bunch of photos...not even 1/10th of what I had on my old LG Optimus...and it took up like 4.5 G of space. I've been trying to send all my photos and video to FB to put in my albums but my videos won't upload. I've deleted tons of photos that I moved but am not gaining any significant amt of storage. I can't use most of my apps now and I cannot delete/ disable any of the bloat apps.

I've had Nougat on my Stylo 2 for awhile. I literally have had no issues, for me it almost seems to run faster. Every now and then, the KZbin app studders a bit but my Nvidia Shield also does that. I guess a few factors to consider is what apps you have on it compared to me, I only have like 5 apps installed (I uninstalled Facebook because it is a resource hog!), and I use Google Now Launcher while you seem to use a different launcher. Anywho, mine is doing great!

All you need to do is my friend got the update and had all these problems and all you need to do is turn off your phone press the volume down and power button and wipe cache partition and this will not wipe all your data this will simple get ride of data that is not needed DO NOT click anything else

i updated my Tribute HD and my phone broke, my data dosen't work anymore, not sure if it was because of settings or something, i had to transfer my account to one of my older phones which is okay, but Not Great! this has never happened to me before. Having been a beta tester for Motorola years all I have to say is I'd recommend a factory reset after any full "Lettered" update. There will be app compatibility issues etc. That being said immediately following my own update to Nougat on the Stylo2 I factory reset. No issues, no lag. Does it need an update at some pint? Absolutely. Will a reset solve a lot of these initially known issues? Definitely.

Looks like boring stock android, does it still make the lg sounds when you unlock/knock or when you pull the stylus out ? A bit afraid to update to be honest. Will it get android 8.0 ? anyone got it ? Don;t get me wrong I love updates but we are talking about a quad 1.2 GHz that is 2004 PC power spectrum.

Anyone have issue with the screen? That's where my lag seems to be, updated yesterday boostmobile. Did a factory reset, same issue. There's either a 3 second delay when I tap the screen or it'll act like I'm holding it down when I'm not. No issues before the update...

It's not running THAT smooth - not sure if you noticed it, but some of your apps are missing. Probably stuff that you moved to SD. (LG devces have a nasty habit of booting up occasionally and taking quite some time for apps on SD to actually load up and show properly on the homescreens; the old LG Optimus S, Optimus L9, & original Optimus G were particularly nasty about this in that apps on SD would be missing due to either taking longer to load up or occasionally mysteriously being wiped out entirely)

No way am I going to upgrade my stylo 2 to nougat I did this with my other LG phone when I had kit kat I upgraded to lollipop and it made my other phone so unstable that I did a factory reset to go back to kit kat and it turns out I was stuck with lollipop I ended up regretting it afterwards. Be careful when upgrading because once you upgrade to that particular OS on an android phone you're stuck with it and you can't go back to the previous one you had. There's a saying if it ain't broken don't fix it! I like marshmallow alot to be quite honest never had issues with it.
