After hearing about the cinnamon pouches I decided to do some research on cinnamon, for people who don’t know, cassia cinnamon contains a chemical called coumarin, which is a chemical used to make rat poison, cassia cinnamon is commonly used in America because of how cheap it is. I was in Australia for two months and noticed there’s a huge difference in the taste of food. I could’ve been a vegetarian while there because the food has such a good taste. I didn’t “need” meat. I firmly believe we are not eating real food here. When I came back here to the states, it took me awhile to get used to the taste of our food here and to actually eat anything because it was just “wrong.” It’s hard to describe because I could tell it’s just not “right.” We’ve been eating this “stuff” for so long, we don’t realize it. It’s like our brain fills in the missing pieces. The only way to describe it is to say the food here doesn’t taste real.

I Had noticed the same thing, spent a lot of time in the Philippines, i have always had certain foods here that gave me heartburn ,relentless heartburn, after a couple of weeks eating real food in the Philippines i noticed I could eat without getting heartburn , all of my Philippine stays were heartburn free, as soon as i got home here came the heartburn again, I figured it out, it’s the seed oils and vegetable oil they use here in everything as well as the corn syrup ,and all the food additives, Philippine products use coconut or palm oils,and packaged products do not contain a list of unrecognizable preservatives Just saying ,something here is all wrong

Side note: I watched a documentary on Bailey Sarian’s channel about Tyson chicken. Interesting fact: Tyson’s chicken owns several other frozen chicken name brands but their name is hidden under a different name. Even McDonald’s chicken nuggets come from their company so keep in mind; these recalls don’t just effect the Tyson name brand but do research on what other brands they hide under and we are eating. Just like the Nestle brand; you gotta be aware of what you’re putting in your body and feeding to your children.

I can't speak for other countries, but in the US, the FDA can't force a recall. They have to be done voluntarily. Can't remember why, I'll have to look it up. In any case, removing recalled items from shelves is the purview of producers and retailers/wholesalers.

They can't. Once a recall is enacted grocers remove those items from the shelves, but how long does it take a company to exact a recall is the question. They could go months before they recall products and by then the grocers have sold most of the lot in the recall.

Walmart is famous for having expired food on the shelf. Even recalled food. I’ve seen them t2ken off the shelves only to return the next day. Several days in a row. The employees are not date code trained. And when they are trained they are told by upper management to fill the shelves and won’t say a word for fear of being terminated. You can’t eat at everyone’s home and you can’t shop at every store.

Some of us CAN'T grow our one food. I live in a high rise apartment with ZERO space for any kind of garden. SOME of us are on such low income that we have little choice on what we buy to eat. All this is put out by proper doctors that also nutrition like Dr. Berg, Dr. Berry, Paul Mason and cardiac interventional specialists Pradip Jamnadas and Nadir Ali. Eat whole plain foods no processed foods. (Or no more than 1 or 2 additional spices or ingredients.) your food budget will go down because processed foods are expensive.

WRONG! Look up beef recall, chicken recall, produce recall, all have been recalled for salmonella and listeria contamination. These are FRESH foods people buy to cook their own meals rather than use boxed processed foods, yet they have all been recalled because they were so contaminated they were making people sick.

Some people are looking for quick,fast and convenience to put in a microwave and go sad some people don't want to cook from scratch anymore it takes too much time. Anything in a bag,a can,a bottle or a jar have been processed with all kinds of preservatives and extra sugars for shelf life in the store but people either don't care or are not aware of the foods that are causing health issues and are slowly killing people the sad part is these companies are only interested in how much money can be made....MONEY OVER PEOPLE !!!!!!

Wow. I had to start losing weight at the end of last year and I'm still on my journey to being healthy this year as well, but this has resulted in my having to buy my own ingredients and eating a very whole foods centered diet. Fruits, vegetables, natural carbs instead of processed like take-out French fry's, and un-breaded chicken breasts that I grill. I am very thankful I have already started doing this, because its scary seeing so many popular food brands that I use to eat, continuously getting recalled for all of these horrible things such as E.coli and Foreign Matter!! If I had the accessibility to a more stable climate and had an outdoor area, I would genuinely start growing my own food at this point.

Yeah I remember that article about the applesauce with the cinnamon flavor and it having high lead content. It really wasn't the applesauce companies fault, it was the cinnamon manufacturer. They get paid by the weight of selling their cinnamon powder. So they decided to cheat and add lead powder to the cinnamon powder to make it way more so that they can make more profit. Totally despicable these people

I find it funny that people are reacting to this one report when this has been happening just about all of their lives. Anything made, processed, grown, or raised has had a recall on it at one time or another. Most of the items on this list I stopped purchasing because of all the chemicals in them, but once you mentioned frozen fruit from Walmart, Whole Foods and Trader Joe's I got scared. I don't currently have them in my freezer but I'll be researching for the future👍🏾✌🏾✊🏾
