Today on the show, we have Col. Rajeev Bharwan, an accomplished, professionally trained & result-oriented Indian Army Colonel with 21 Years of progressive higher leadership & management skills while commanding the elite Infantry/ Strategic Specialized Airborne Regiment.
In this fantastic episode, we spoke about the vast on-hand experience of Col. Rajeev in Counter Terrorism, in combat zones in Assam, Manipur, Nagaland, and Jammu & Kashmir. One of my favourite podcasts of the year. In an age where American Marines and their British equivalents are celebrated worldwide, it is crucial that Indians get to know about our Commandos as well.
This video (and the podcast that it is derived from) aim to spread the word about the incredible Indian Special Forces.
Thank you to all our brave soldiers, for their contribution to India! Jai Hind!!!
In 2007-8, Col. Rajeev spent time in Sudan. In this clip, he shares what he saw there.

There is famous dialogue from the movie 'Blood Diamond', "God has left Africa". It's not happened because of the people in Africa. Once it was one of the richest places in the world. For hundreds of years, colonisers kept bleeding out the richness, peace and beauty from it. Still, that mentality is going on and still there are so many, who just want to dry out the last drop of its greatness.

Really heart wrenching stories - Africa is a continent that has been ravaged by the Europeans during colonialism and even today indirectly. The sad aspect is even if an African country wants to come up and be developed, the West will never allow a stable government to form. Gaddafi's Libya is a prime example.

I'm British but have never heard of India as a peacekeeping nation; it shows the Western need to perpetuate certain nations as the 'saviours' of the world. The situation in parts of Sudan is a human tragedy but I'm sure that the Western world has some accountability for it. This is certainly the case in parts of Africa, Middle East, Asia and also South America.

You are absolutely right. Soldiers, though they appear otherwise, are some of the most sensitive and delicate people out there. You talk to them, and you'll realise how much heart and soul they have. Might not be outwardly visible, but deep down there, they're tender at best.

It is due to political systems and international strategy. India is not an oppresive or aggresive country in terms of its army .Indian army aims to defend not to offend. That makes Indian army more human than blood thirsty killing machines Where as in US Israel they train their armies not for the defese but for offence. They make them more like brutal killing machines. That is why thousands of armymen of US when comes back from any operation be it in afghanistan or Iraq or Iran or any where they becomes mentally disturbed at times they even commit suicide. But you will hear no such thing of any Indian Army man who has come back from any of his operations. The difference is of mission and vision of the armed forces

Muslims have been living in India from so long, nobody has thought or has any such intentions of doing such to their motherland. It's just your upbringing which always feeds negativity in your imagination. India has prospered because it's diversified culturally or else look at countries which have only one religion as a major population they have suffered immensely. If you can't think good At least don't think in a negative way and spread hatred by just sitting at the comfort of your home. people have lives and have families to take care of. Have some responsibility and grow up then you would know if you would always think about bullshit or focus on making your life a better one. Good day Toddler.

And to think that we can see Bengal famine photos where the starving Bengali people could be seen with starving cows. They died, they perished, but they didn't even think of slaughtering a cow. Today, you can commonly find cows being hung upside down in 100s of numbers in open marketplaces in West Bengal and slaughtered, what to even speak of Bangladesh... What the threat of death, despair and desolation couldn't achieve, has been achieved through long term cultural and political subversion.
