She was flipping homes, owned a coffee Bar and Restaurant. She was a single mom too with a small child. It was magic, but not easy to win her over. I courted her in the city, and from the US. Don't read my comment unless you have huge empathy and compassion. I grew up around Viet-American culture. I know Vietnamese girls are close-minded, superficial, and shallow. They mostly wanna marry Caucasian men (or at least Mexicans and Africans) cuz they're tryna climb up the socioeconomic ladder, not down. Don't forget that our species is still largely animal; we retained much of our animalistic imperative and instinct. For a female, regardless the species, status, power, security for raising one's young, etc. are the most important aspects (in a male partner). Why mate with a poorer, less confident Vietnamese male when you can pig out with an obviously richer, more confident Caucasian male who owns (more) property and has more control on his surroundings? Look at the wild. The alpha-male lion gets all the females, while the rest of the beta-males sulk. Then I look at human psychology and patterns, I go "Huh! We're not all that different." Animal kingdom has repeated this behavior for millions of years. Humans only first showed up some thousands of years of ago. NO WAY are we just gonna suddenly super-deviate from the selfish, cruel, shallow imperative of our animal ancestors. OF COURSE we'll be almost just as selfish, cruel, and shallow. This is not necessarily true or should not apply to all "Vietnamese women", especially regarding the points about "poor families" and "connection". It seems that your opinions are made based more on the girls you met through online dating apps, and that you haven't met that many Vietnamese people/ women. Young and well educated Vietnamese people can familiarize themselves with western culture through various methods or channels if they are interested, so I'm sure there are those who understand your "humor". And actually many of them come from families with good financial background who can support their education and also English/ other languages lessons. It could be the other way around, what if it's the white man himself who doesn't really have a sense of humor in his own culture.
