WARNING--THIS IS HOW JESUS DEALS WITH SINNING BELIEVERS!

Do troubles and trials push you toward God - or away?
Today, look back over your week. How is your spiritual health?
Has it been a week with trials, troubles, or struggles?
Did pressures increase at work, home, health, or finances?
And then what happens inside of you?
Did you cry out to the Lord, fall upon His grace, and turn from any wicked way?
Or did you seethe in anger, wallow in self-pity, or, worst of all, harden your heart to spiritual things?
The test of pruning (which is affirmative) and chastening (which is disciplinary) is in our response.
That is one of the simplest ways to test what is going on in your life.
Pruning always draws us closer; chastening initially can push us away.
TEST #1: When troubles came this week, did you remain joyful, read God's Word with hunger, and talk to Him often in prayer? A fruitful believer who is experiencing the nearness of their Heavenly Father pruning rises to God’s challenge. We move toward the Lord.
TEST #2: When troubles came this week, did joylessness fill your heart, mind, and life? Did your relationship with the Lord seem blighted by sadness or lethargy? Did the Word of God seem unimportant, uninteresting, and dull? We often initially move away or grow cold toward the Lord.
OUR FATHER WANTS THE BEST FOR US
With His heart full of love and mercy, OUR Father, the Vinedresser, is trying to bring the greatest possible blessing into our lives this morning. Listen to these words from a paragraph entitled “Obedience” from Chastening, a booklet by James H. McConkey. God comes to us in the positive discipline of pruning or in the negative discipline of chastening. How does He do that?
It may be through the suffering of your seeing carefully made plans replaced by keen disappointment.
It may be through the suffering of bereavements that tear from your presence - precious loved ones.
It may be through the suffering of temporal losses and broken fortunes.
It may be through the suffering that stalks into your life through the willfulness and sin of others.
It may be through the suffering that sometimes brings you to the brink of a broken faith and heart.
It may be that out of your very agony of heart and soul, the eternal God of love and mercy is seeking to bring into your life the greatest blessing that can enrich and glorify that life - the blessing of your human will yielded to the will of God.
And to be yielded to the will of God means more than silver and gold, more than gratified desires and ambitions, more than the pleasures of friendship, more than all the praises of men, more than all the prizes of fame, and more than the attainment of all your highest earthly aims and strivings. This is the richest and most profound of all blessings - to be swallowed up in the will of God.

One pratical thing to get off weight to make plan for target. Count calories. Make sizes smaller. Also working out make ths fun 🎊. Also shows on weight can help. Shows how much for sizes. Occasionally see times wo something and see whether theres a compulsory action helps. For me love technology and use often for actions req. yet not something that wo otherwise changes life. Self control overall helpful to focus on setting a target opposite sometimes helps. So dont spend all leisure w S action etc. decide to set plan for exercise??. Not suggesting never fail on anything (also avoid situatioms where someone will drag yiu to something when you can control the situation), yet thinking to pass along tips.

Only CHRIST JESUS Died for Our sins and Rose again , not buddha , not mohamed , noone else but CHRIST . We will have sin in our hearts until we die , however , when we Trust in JESUS , HE is our Great High Priest Our Redeemer , our Saviour , The propitiation for our sins. It is appointed unto man , once ti Die , and then The Judgement . Dr Barnett , like many gospel teachers/preachers is pleading with us to Simply place our Faith /trust in CHRIST for our Salvation. GOD never asked us to be perfect. HE knows we are unable to. HE has Loved us with an Everlasting Love and Because of HIS Sacrifice we can have Peace with GOD and know for certain that our sins are forgiven . @@shasannyyyy First John 3:9 Whosoever is born of God doeth not commit sin, for His seed, Ephesians 1:13, abideth in Him, and he cannot sin because He is born of God. But we still do. The Holy Spirit that we are sealed unto redemption cannot sin. Ephesians 4:30. It is only our soul/spirit that is saved. We all die because of sin in the flesh. The new birth did not eradicate our sinful nature. Romans 7. We still have it till we die and get our new sinless bodies at the resurrection. That is why Jesus had to die. First John 2:2 And He is the propitiation for our sins, and not for ours only, but for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD. Romans 1:16. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, (First Corinthians 15:1-4) For it is the POWER of God unto salvation to everyone that BELIEVETH, to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. The basses of our salvation is that Jesus paid our sin debt in full, so we can never be condemned again. John 3:18. First John 5:13.

I personally find it very hard to make disciples of others when I am barely holding on myself. People look at me and do not see success or fulfilment or anything worth emulating. It is hard for such a testimony to reach people who are aloof of you and who (worldly speaking) have more than you.

Try bit by bit, like today. As for success, I don't think that is what you should show others in order to gain others for Christ. Increase your bible reading and prayers and learn how faith works. Surround yourself by Christians who you know love and follow Jesus that you can trust.

This is in regards to believers who continue to WILLINGLY sin. Its different from just sinning. For example my career, the way I earn a living, is in direct conflict with God. It is blatant and horrible sin. Yet, I'm a believer and a child of God. 59 yrs old. The chastisements ( jailed, kidnapped, tortured, deported, beaten, robbed) And now the trials I am going through ( Sickness, pain, suffering, disease, insurmountable worry) has finally brought me to my knees. Re-surrendering my life to Jesus. I dont know how I will earn an income, or what career the Lord will have me do, or where I will live, or how I will pay the bills, etc etc etc. I can only do it with the help of Jesus and the Holy Spirit. I ask God to show me his will for my life and I will follow. I repent of my sins. Please God send the Holy Spirit to help carry me through.

I can say from personal experience that demons bug me a lot almost constantly, but I have so much joy and comfort from the Holy Spirit that it I'm able to endure and persevere which I know leads to character! When the writer of Hebrews says that the word is living and active and sharper than any two edged sword to the dividing of both sword and spirit and marrow and bone, I know that is very true!

I am handicapped 73 year old, I can listen to you for hours but I am getting weaker and weaker going out preaching or telling people of the faith. Now all I have the strengh to do is to tell the people that comes home to me or that I meet in the shop. Does this mean I am getting weaker due to not telling people about Jesus as much as I did 10-15 years ago. Can you come up to north Sweden and speak about God and Jesus for a few weeks or at least a coupple. I would love to be abel to listen to you and going out talking to people. I can not walk to much but I have a permobil. I could not keep my car, it was to expensive for me. I feel lost never having anyone were I live that believes in God or Jesus and I have been here since 1984.

He dealt with the Sin In and Threw Christ Jesus and his finished works..We are approved by faith in Jesus and his calling and gift's to Repent and His Grace causes repentance...We had or pursued a rightousness of our own..Now rest in a rightousness from above...God Look's for faith in us. And See's it in his children.. Doesn't see sin at all... Forgiven eternally..And forgotten eternally. Looking threw Christ Jesus at us.. The sins of the flesh abolished in Christ. Payed in full...He is preparing us for Eternity and preparing a place for you and me. Regeneration equip us to hate the life we live in the Flesh. IT is no longer the regenerated doing things sinful or hate..Rather the sinful nature..Want to do good..Yet find ourselves doing the things we hate. Sooooo many blind spots.. Including the Speaker here.. If you are Chosen.. predestined..Relax..This thing is finished...Way to complicated..Nothing Complicated in or Threw Christ Jesus..Ask for help.. He'll save ya❤

This is where I get confused. I get that sin is bad and we should try to avoid sin as much as humanly possible but if all believers never sin, then dosent that take away the need for Jesus? As hard as I try not to sin, I still do, i still let a cuss word slip every now and then. I still get angry when people disrespect me or promote sin, I still think about beating the crap out of people who harm kids, etc. I guess my question is, is it even possible not to sin, in this fallen world with our adamic nature? I should throw out the disclaimer im not looking to have a license to sin sort to speak just curious to learn about this from more seasoned believers.

No, Romans 3:23 my friend. I'm the worst sinner I know. I don't beat myself up because we are washed white as snow when we turn back to Christ and ask for forgiveness. Even better when I repent (mind change). I used to be like you as far as being the occasional "hot head" but remember that we are to be peaceful and love others. Overcoming evil with good is the only way to perform any spiritual attack against the enemy. If you are willing, you could pray and give each and every one of those things to God. I used to ask God "why is the world so evil?, etc.", but we are going through the refining fire brother. In this earth, there is good and evil, no grey areas, when it comes to spiritual matters. I used to view pornography on a regular basis and I gave it to God. What I learned through Scripture, was that we are all uniquely and wonderfully made. It was then when I realized that God's will is truly perfect. I knew this, but had not experienced something so powerful. To view the actors in the videos as people who have had very tough lives. They do drugs, drink alcohol, etc. to numb what they are doing to themselves. These are people created in the image of God and when we understand why God tells us not to do something, it helps me make the concept stick a bit more. I hope this helps. Faith in Christ gives you a new nature. You may do bad with the body, and are told to resist this as much as possible as to help others come to Christ. But you are still saved by your faith regardless of what happens because your faith is credited for righteousness Romans 4:5. It means that when people point out in James “faith without works is dead.” He’s talking to believers. Your faith is deadweight but it will save you from damnation, what it won’t save you from is God’s chastisement. Do not let the serpent tell you, you must express your faith in order to be saved, this is trusting in your own deeds to prove you are saved rather than trusting what Christ explicitly said is yours if you believe in him.

i hear you. any iron again believer who says they are not a sinner is NOT a believer in Christ Jesus. even when we're not actively sinning, we still have thoughts that are ~ that IS our fallen sin nature. i think it's a simple as that. and i received this beautiful advice from a long time sister in Christ: "i ask the Lord to forgive me of all sin known and unknown, and to remove it from my mind and heart and REPLACE IT with His love and truth." He propped me up in my bed half asleep & placed His message directly into my mind/existence & moved my fingers to write this (it felt like I was vibrating in His light & He won’t let me forget it - it’s like I memorized it in a couple minutes verbatim): ‘I was asked to call God, as he gave me the command. After I complied & asked for a call he answered & gave me a phone call. I was in disbelief for two seconds then I held up water in a white porcelain cup filled near the rim & listened to his still and quiet voice from the lips of the ripples of the waters.’ The message is as follows. He said: “Hello Michael. I wanted to congratulate you on your achievements. You have performed as you ought. You are set to the mission of spreading my word. You have resisted the enemy at all turns, even now you take up my sword & armor resisting the enemies lies fed into your ears. You have proved yourself to be a lion in my tribe of Judah. I have sent you upon this world to judge through sight on how wicked they have become as I calibrate my scales. What you are is not what you will become, no you are one of my sons. Be steadfast and relay these as warnings to come. 1. Any wicked man who should try to move another mountain is dumb. (Creating towers of Babylon around the world.) ~There’s 22,000+ ‘towers of babel’ skyscrapers in the world.~ 2. Making a mountain out of a mole hill is a war that will never be won. (God sees this wicked generation as a molehill which will be leveled & overthrown.) ~The ‘pride’ Sodom & Gomorrah movement.~ 3. All those that are wicked are the ones who deny my son (Jesus). Jesus only prays for us to GOD, so do the angels. We pray to GOD, THE HOLY SPIRIT, our FATHER IN HEAVEN. Salvation is a free gift. Discipleship is a whole other issue. Discipleship is for the believer for rewards in heaven, First Corinthians 3:11-15, and the chastening of the Lord for those living in those sins named in Colossians 3:5-6. Never loss of eternal life. First Corinthians 5:5. Turn such a one over to Satan to kill the flesh, so that his Spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord. I have been through an extremely long period of DECADES of trials. I do not consider it a positive thing. My life has been destroyed and my faith is hanging by a thread. I find it more and more difficult to believe that trials are a good thing. All this has caused me to have only doubts, not patience. I lost all patience long ago. I have never heard any preacher in 65 years of being a Christian who has given a reasonable explanation for why God desires to cause us to suffer so much in this life. I don't see how putting us through misery is a demonstration of love. Can you please answer this question? I am very close to giving up, throwing in the towel. I cannot find any reasonable answers to my questions.

@@saved6655 I have read the Book of Job many times. I find no comfort there. God allowed Satan to destroy Job's life. The text never explains WHY God allowed such a thing. It seems to imply that the only reason God allowed it was to prove a point to Satan. In the end, God did restore the material things that he had lost, but his children that died were still gone. God has not restored my life. My only hope is after I die. I have nothing in this life to bring any happiness. I asked for SOMEONE to answer my question. You have not done that, and the Book of Job certainly does not do that. Thanks for trying.

@@dooglitas Job absolutely trusted the sovereign God. Here is the point we take the word with joy but when persecution comes we fall away. Job was consistent, he said God gives God takes (that was his worship). He said shall we not accept good and bad from God. He said even though You slay me I will hope in you. What was the outcome? I heard you but now I see you. What happened? He was drawn closer to God because He never Blaine’s God he worshiped God for bringing this on Him to draw him closer. Hence James saying count it all joy when you face various trials. Our suffering is a reason to rejoice in God.

Material things? We should all suffer, every single one of us deserve the most brutal suffering ever. You are looking at this upside down. Like you don’t deserve it or something. Because of the sin you committed yesterday you should be destroyed over, yet God has enough grace to allow you to breath. We aren't completely sanctified until we receive our Glorified Bodies. This is not permission to sin, but where sin abounds, grace abounds (for the believer). Most people can't keep, or even name the 10 Commandments, let alone the 600+ "Sins of Moses", or the countless sins of omission. To say you never sin is to say you are now perfect like Jesus. I'm sure you are a "New Creature", I'm certain you have left sins behind, but this does not mean a believer never falls short. It is a battle against our flesh. Chastisement is never affiliated with damnation, people being chastised are already saved. The difference between a bastard and a child is that the child believes, that’s all it takes for salvation, disobedient children that still believe in Jesus are saved. DTBM at certain points of the video gets close to work salvation but never actually crosses the line from grace. sanctification is inevitable from the moment of belief, some fight it for a long time, but that doesn’t make them any less a believer. I’m sure these replies are correlating with what he said to be works based salvation by “requiring you conform your life to Christ’s perfection” when that will be done regardless if you believe, and God is the only one whom knows if you believe or not. The outward expressions and appearances of Christian’s are to profit men and win them over to Christ. Your critique can only come from the apostacy thought of attributing the deeds of someone claiming to believer to god thinking their deeds are a sign that they are saved which inevitably gets them trusting their own deeds rather than the simple explict words of christ than any whom believe in him have eternal life. Keep trying, don’t over do it. Just love them, like in James and Ephesians 4:24. Show them your faith. Reprobates can still be saved. You may have to go to the extreme. Remember nothing that you do is in vain. For if it is for their own sake, and your own love of them compels you to do it, you won’t lose rewards for this even if you don’t succeed, and I know it’s not the rewards as to why you have inquired, that’s the point of it all, patient love that cannot be bought or sold.
