I was fit last year into the mkii zx7 but I combo'd with the mkii zx 5 in my 4, 5 and 6 iron. I'm playing my best golf to date. I absolutely love them

I just picked up mine absolutely outstanding, in the last two years I’ve had Titleist, TaylorMade, Callaway, Ping and PXG and yes spent a small fortune. But I can honestly say the Srixon ZX5 MKll are unbeatable, I stupidly resisted trying them thinking they can’t be good “they’re not a big name” what a mistake. Seriously I can’t speak highly enough about them, just give them a try and you will be convinced (if not in love) they really are that good.

I did a blended set of these in 2023, ZX4 in the 4,5, & 6 and the ZX5 for the 7,8,9,& P. I love them. Ordered direct, custom lie, grips. & shaft. Whole experience was top notch. I really like these irons. Up there with Mizuno in feel & quality but better looking and more affordable. imho...

i got the zx5 4 to pw set. effortless swing needed. i used the irons off the tee most of the time over summer the distance is incredible along with stopping power. when i hit them well it has one of the best feel response. i did upgrade the shafts to what fitted we'll for my swing

Srixon is the best of the best past 4 years or so at least ... been using Z-Forged and now Forged II and can't even find the right words of excellence to describe them.... got me to around scratch hcp and keeps me there with the stability and feel.... and that LOOK ... man ... it matters ;) ;)

Iv played srixon irons since 2015 still got my z765 irons in the bag. The most beautiful clubs I've owned. Still like new and the feel is better than any mizuno I've had. Looking to upgrade later this year and maybe the combo set of z5s and 7s will make it in the bag. Great insight the tour truck👍

I tried them but I’m 70 so I tried ZX4. They came in second. I got Mizuno JPX. Mizuno worked better for me. Not as long but dispersion pattern was minuscule. Nice video.

The other day on mygolfspy, the topic came up, "what is the most under appreciated brand in golf?" and I aslo said srixon, specifically the zx5...they are really nice irons and preform soooo good. Alex, I had the zx5 mki's and liked them, then went to callaway apex 21s, but I always regretted giving up on the srixons. so i just got fitted and the zx7s are money! They're really not that smaller than the 5s but I love the thinner sole, complete game changer! my carry numbers are better and my dispersion is much better, these will be in the bag for a long time! (or until the mk3 comes out 😂).

My son started playing golf as we came out of UK lockdown, first with my old Tommy Armour’s then with a full set of new Cleveland’s he bought off eBay. Last year, after transitioning through used ZX5 Mk1’s he got custom fitted for the new ZX7’s. A couple of weeks ago he broke 80 for the first time (would have been earlier if he could putt😉). He absolutely loves these clubs. They are long, stupidly straight and as was mentioned, the turf interaction is amazing. Great clubs from an under the radar brand. I think the thing stopping them breaking into the market more widely is availability. Not always easy to find.

Alex Ive played just about every brand of irons out there. I tried these Srixon zX5s and they went straight in the bag. I have the JPX hot metal 923 and JPX forged 923 and the Srixon are better than both. I wish I had tried these earlier I would have been playing them from the start. I think people overlook Srixon for the bigger names but I won't anymore. You must try those ZX5s or the 7s I really think your opinion will definitely change.

Srixon's irons are great! They're one of the most accurate irons on the market to the specs they proclaim. TM are some of the worst accurate specs they proclaim. Just Say'n....

I thought it was interesting at 15:08. The shaft they show look like it is a UST Mamiya Recoil ESX 460 F3 (Regular) as I have them in my MZ 923's. Thought that was odd if these were being built for a pro.

I play the previous version of the Zx5s. They are very nice irons. I play in Arizona where the lies are tight and firm. Many times the ball comes to rest on nearly the ground. The soles of the ZX5s are engineered so the club has less tendency to dig in. The Zx5s give the player a greater margin of error in these conditions.

Play a slight diff combo to most - the zx7 (mk1) 5-8, zforged 9 PW. Amazing - they've got it all...looks, feel, performance and value for money. Super easy to hit. As a 9hdcp who is very much an average iron player, i didn't find a massive diff between zx5 and 7 in terms of difficulty. But I much prefer the sole of the zx7 espec in scoring irons. Would recommend people try both and not assume the zx7 is only playable by low handicaps. On the other hand my brother plays the zx5 and absolutely loves them, way more than the zx7s. Can't go wrong with either!

Yep, Zx5 zx7 combo set is the way to go. Made in Japan so they are great quality and on the same level as Taylormade, Callaway, Mizuno etc. But they aren’t crazy popular to they are a lot cheaper.

Play zx5. Practice with srix blades mkii. Indentical specs. Works well except the 4 blades humiliates me, the zx5 on course feel very relaxed after a blade session.

I see that he uses the same grip each time he swing weighted each club ,however each grip weighs different, I have seen up to 8grams difference in most sets of grips from heavy to lightest inc the grips he is using , just a thought

I game the 7 mkii’s. Was a Mizuno blade guy for years. Hands down better clubs for me, best I’ve ever hit it. They’re both made in the same foundry in Japan.

If there was only one iron set sold in golf that a high handicapper to low handicapper could use I think the Srixon ZX5 would be it , looks great , forged with good feel but has great forgiveness , checks all the boxes , lofts are stronger than player irons but not super jacked causing spin and gapping issues just a great iron!!!

I dont play Srixons myself (Mizuno currently) but anyone who had them in the bag id instantly think they are obviously quite cool. If i was to swap from the Mizunos id try Srixon first.

Srixon ZX5 MK II are good but if you don't like the V-Sole and the thicker sole of the ZX5 Mk II they are a pass.... I owned them when they were released and flipped them pretty fast. No knock on them but the sole is not good for me.

I got fitted @ Club Champion Basingstoke for a set of ZX5's last year and love them. I had them fitted with ACCRA iSeries shafts. I also went with Cleveland RTX Zip Core 6 wedges with N.S. Pro Zelos 7 shafts in 52, 56 & 60 degree. All the shafts were Pure'd too. Srixon clubs are up with the other brands now. The look and feel of them are amazing, plus the sound is another bonus from these Iron's. Going to treat myself to a nice new G430 10k today and will be all good to go for the season 🏌️‍♂️⛳
