He’s the nemesis of He-Man, of He-Man wants buffs, which Skeletor steals. I think that’s the perspective they went with it and makes sense. Maybe not OP throughout the game, but in providing a decent counter to He-Man, it works.

If they give his A3 an extra turn ability he becomes one of the best bomb enablers in the game. First he gives himself increase accuracy then he removes block debuffs out of the way of the incoming bombs and steals a couple other Buffs while he's at it. Then he petrifies a Target making them super vulnerable to bomb damage

Yet another great YT, Ash. Thank you. Re Skeletor: Of course, he's a (marketing) trap. They learned with Xena, that in isolation not as many people bought as they'd expected. Had they given away a Gabrielle (or even Hercules) from the canon, people would want the set! It is a Gatcha-Game after all. By default many, many Players are Completionists. "Give" them (the crappy) half of a set, and they'll be itching to buy the good half! ;)

We need to be louder about Skeletor. Make Plarium hear us and maybe they'll buff him or better, adjust his kit to be more Skeletor-like. I forget who, but I saw some video by a content creator mentioning that Skeletor might be a good Iron Twins champ, which I don't think people really struggle with that content right now, unless new. Sure, new players need early game champs too, so not every champ can be end-game content material, but this is Skeletor we are talking about. He SHOULD be end-game material and not a vault champ.

Yeah, to your point having decrease Atk and Speed on Iron Twins makes it so much more manageable if you have a tanky reviver (such as Scyl for early players),l. The Dec. Atk for survivability, and preventing iT's TM boost let's you cycle through your skills efficiently to get back to the revive and defensive boosts. Skeletor's skills definitely seem lack luster, especially compared to Loki and even Adelyn, which I still like for a semi-solid Sand Devil sleep due to her damage boosting and the ability to land 4-5 debuffs with masteries, Smite, and a toxic set.

I really think people should get their hands on Skeletor before they dog pile on him and say that he is useless or close to it. Granted, Loki's kit looks better on paper, but Loki received very similar discourse and he turned out to be effective in a few places once players actually started using him. Skeletor might not be the best in any aspect, but if hes the champion that takes your arena team from floundering uselessly to absolutely demolishing - then hes the champion that does that for you. If hes the Iron Twins carry of your dreams, then he is that for you. As a legendary, it isn't really hard to get him to a usable state. As much as people say you shouldn't recklessly five star a bunch of champions - legendaries start there. You can slap a build together, slap that 5 star soul on, and test him without wasting any books.

Give him a passive buff that makes him buff your team while he is sitting in the vault. & do the same for Adelyn too I don't care that Skeletor or any free is not the best, but i want utility out of most of the champs in the game so you can have fun building them. If i just waste my books + time in it why would i play a game like that ? there's plenty of better games. And what's the worst in this is that they make the other champ pay2win broken. So you have a 1.5/5 (i would make him a 0,5 tbh) out of a free and a 4+/5 out of a paying champ? What a surprise and a change of mindset from Plarium ! So glad they evolv. And the champ looks kinda cool ! Still sitting in the vault we wont see him that much.

Dead serious if I was in charge of his kit. A1 aoe attacks 2 times each hit has a chance to decrease buffs on each ally by 1 turn per hit at a 25% chance books to 40%. A2 single target steals 100% turn meter and places a petrified and decrease speed 3 turn cooldown. A3 place stoneskin for 2 turns on an ally 4 turn cooldown. Passive allies under stoneskin do 15% more damage to enemies and ignores 15% of defense on enemies from sacred order. Then he’s ready to go fun unique champion for free.

You mentioned it, they overwatered the pool 😅. Less champ releases would make them more interesting and the game more playable.

I feel like the free champions that come with the 5 star awakening chase are all traps, Adelyn got mixed reviews but my build for her is solid enough for where I need her, Loki imo was and still is trash for any area I have him in, Skeletor hopefully can help me more stars in some Faction Wars stages as I don't have any other good champions except for one other legendary for that faction.

I can't think of any champs that strip buffs, (be it removing or stealing) reduce turn meter, and increase accuracy on the same ability - be it a 3, 4 or 5 turn cooldown. There are many turn meter reducers, there are a few accuracy buffers, and there are a few buff stealing/stripping - how many have all on one ability or even across two abilities? This is a completely different role but I have Elva, her A2 is a cleanse that needs booked to get it to 100% chance, along with block debuffs and increased speed - there are many cleansers, there are many speed increasers, and there are quite a few who apply block debuffs; how many are there who do all 3 on one ability? I'm certainly not early game, but I'm not late so, mid? end of early? - just to give a few milestones, I recently got Scyl, I can do a few dungeons on stage 20, I'm getting close to 1 keying Nightmare CB (latest run was 32ish mil) and I recently managed 13ish mil on Hydra normal - but I'll get value from Skeletor, not because anything he's doing is particularly impressive but because his abilities are doing a few things. There are other legendaries I want to get booked up but I'll definitely be building him out.

He' needs to be retooled because he's the main villain of his series. They made He-Man into a Nuker and rightfully so because it fits his character profile while Skeletor is suppose to be the Loki of his series. He should be spamming the field with AOES.

If the Petrification on the A2 would ignore Block Debuffs or Can't be Resisted, then it makes it much better as a single target ability. As a Legendary champ, he shouldn't have to use the A3 to remove the Block Debuffs before using the Petrification on the A2. It extremely limits the usefulness of the ability. Almost makes it useless in Arena unless you are always going to win the speed race, but for newer accounts, that is unlikely.

As I would never have the books to make him viable he is going to be, at best, a faction option, but that 5 star soul stone makes him very useful on most of my 22 accounts, where a 3 star soul stone is a game changer as most of my accounts are about level 50.

If he got an extra turn after the a3 (maybe remove the TM push to compensate) he would instantly be quite solid. As (I think?) that would give you not 1, but 2 chances to get through SS passive on at least one target with the a2 petrification. But oh well. I'll take him to 50 for sure but probably unbooked for the forseeable future (until there is content where targeted stoneskin is important)

Kurzad Deepheart hardly obsoletes Skeletor's increase accuracy ability. All Kurzad does in addition to the accuracy is place the WEAK version of decrease defense, and to get it to 100% chance you have to use a ton of Rare Tomes. On the other hand, Skeletor steals block debuffs (amazing!) and another random buff. He also decreases enemy turn meter. That is a unique and powerful ability. Combined with his passive Decrease Resistance placement, you can really reduce the accuracy requirements of your teammates. Not saying this ability is one of the best, but it's very versatile to offer buffs to the team, steal buffs from enemies, and offer turn meter control. So worth the books, IMO. I'm no expert on Raid, so maybe other champions can do something similar, but compared to my collection this is really cool. I'm also curious about his Skull Comet ability. If you had Mithrala on the same team, would he have a chance to place decrease speed on champions that received Petrification from her passive? If so, they could make an interesting team. And you would give him a 2 or 1.5? Do you think he's worse than Elegaius? I definitely don't think so, but I'm curious what your thoughts are there. I think Skeletor is far better.

As I said in another CC video on how bad Skeletor is, there's plenty of rares who do what he does to ALL enemies, it's insane this guy is a legendary when nothing about him is even EPIC in quality. Plarium have given quite a few player traps away for free but this is the worst one by far. The best thing about him is the 500 free champion chase points we get from him tomorrow. He also makes Yaga the Insatiable look like a decent investment.

I really think it depends on how hard he hits in regards to "luck" in his kit. Because I do not plan on booking him, yet he will be 5 star, so I will be using him in Curse, so I have to build him, because I need dmg and control in curse with stars, in curse city. FTP players access to 5 star chars is limited, but if he hits like a limp fish, and doesnt ever land his stuff, then all it would be a waste even to take him in a awakened in curse city.

I said this on Scratches video you guys might be jumping the gun a bit. Id evaluate him when relics are available considering they mentioned you can potentially give someone a debuff they didnt originally have. And if so, your gonna get some value out of champs that were avg before the update. If anything you can just build him to be a tank hes got more base health than udk, siphi, hope, so you can always put him in a tanky Guardian/Frostbite set. Hell hes tanky anyway just go all out frost. U probably should see what he does first

As much as I agree with everything being said I am waiting before judgment, yeah it looks god awful but I am hoping we are somehow missing how good he can be somewhere, look at the countless number of people who were saying loki and Thor were going to be straight trash yet have a decent amount of useful places suddenly shutting everyone up as they said nothing, then the bashing of He-man day 1 who can indeed smack harder than anyone thought. I say all that hoping that we are just over judgmental as a species yet again and just wishing a free champ was never going to be trash but in the end I sadly think this time you are 100% spot on here, I just wish you weren't. And for arena he might be ok, unless you are running a defense team on each side of the battle not to often we see many skill resets to be concerned with. Funny thing I pulled Samar yesterday and felt other than needing dwarfs for FW (my least pulled faction) he looked like trash to me so this video confirms that.

Definitely. Decrease Attack and Decrease Speed is amazing for Iron Twins. Increase Accuracy is also critical for some of my champions to place their debuffs consistently at the most difficult level. And then the chance to place decrease resistance when hit? Incredible! He definitely seems like a beast in Iron Twins, but also quite effective against any boss that can receive both Decrease Attack and Decrease Speed.

Well this is the first champion that requires a buff before release. I really don't understand what are Plarium thinking with that loyalty program. Nobody asks them to give a meta champion as a free login. It would be nice to at least make him useful in different areas of the game. They give us champions like Rathalos, Sun Wukong, Artak etc. and now this joke. Not to mention the other champion is behind s pay wall. Now I don't have problems of giving them money, but after weeks of bad decisions I just don't know.
