This lesson although quirky, actually changed my disc golf life for good. Josh is THE coach if you want to get better at the sport. And as always, don't forget to puree the watermelon.

I think your form is great. On my form review Josh told me the same thing. We both have the same issue. Keeping the hip up, weight back and trying to get that heel down at peak reachback is a bitch if you're in motion.

puree the watermelon. I've got my own version of that but it's a bit more recognizable. "There is no spoon,"

I sometimes forget that this is a throwing sport...so much minutia to get hung up on.

Fantastic into and conclusion... having listened all Expo to Ben talking about his form and knowing his propensity for distraction made this video so enjoyable for me. You nailed it Josh! Well done!

Hahaha. I thought I was watching “The Twilight Zone” (Rod Serling’s narration), but then it turned into “Meet the Robinsons” (“keep moving forward”). Loved the video guys. Well done. 👍

You nailed that style of intro/outro...kind of an impression but obviously going for homage. Clever idea to use it to call out a video that's less structured than you prefer. It's funny that Ben sticks with the watermelon as his analogy example when you literally just walked up and told him, "Be James Conrad". That single cue seemed to do wonders.

The only thing no coach never tells you, that in order to gain the distance, accuracy, and consistency your wishing for, you have to skip a few lunches, pull a few all nighters, and temporarily abandon all relationships. I BS you not!!

If the lead hip is up and weight is on the back foot coming out of the X I can relate to the stoppage problem, and I interpret that as a timing issue as well

Yep I've got to relearn "any walk up" ... I swear I'm the only guy I know who can make a 400' standstill look effortless, while being completely unable to reliably hit 450' even at full effort.
@StabBacker4 күн бұрын
that's what technique does to ya, some people can't throw distance drivers further than putters, or get stuck at specific distances where your body is "comfortable". So you need to switch things up enough that you feel it's a bit or even very "uncomfortable" or that it feels weird/wrong to do it that way, to learn new change. :) only thing you can do wrong is give up! Keep grinding bro, I believe anyone who put in the effort can make improvements!

Ben doesn’t need a coach, he needs a stage to be a comedian at a club that closes at 4:00 in the morning. Both are really bad. Josh more patience for foolishness than anyone I know !!!!

Wondering if you could please do a video with the propull disc golf trainer and a analysis if this resistance band gimmick can help or make things worse. There is a few pro's who made sponsored videos for it but they are honestly not good and they don't explain enough. I'm just wondering if this product can actually help with form if taught correctly. I've had this product for a while and I dont use it enough because I need more in depth drills or things to focus on with it. I don't work or know anyone who works for this company, I am just a honest poor customer who is wondering if it can help when the right teacher can maximize its benefits. Thank you
