Hi again :) Thanks for another tutorial. Would it be possible not to have the "next video thumbnail" on the "final result" view? I have it in the middle of my mobile window, covering the most important part, and I'd love to see the final result..

Hey Trent this is very cool! Will rasterizing all the dots make the document smaller? And also will converting all text in a document to curves before exporting make the file smaller. Keeping a copy of the document with editable text of course?

Hi @andrewphillips342, I'm not sure what you mean by "rasterizing the dots". Can you give more details? As for exporting, if you are exporting to a PNG, it will not make a difference whether the text is converted to curves or not. The end result is that the text is saved as a bitmap of pixels, and whether it was curves or text beforehand won't affect it. For the convenience of future editing, I recommend keeping the text as text if possible. Hope this clarifies things! - Trent

I happened to use warping on some imported images (e.g., logos to apply to objects) and had the problem of black areas being created and the warping coming out wrong. I think it happened mostly when I rasterized the layer, while leaving it as an image this did not happen. The problem appears to me mostly with the live filter. What could be the problem?

Hi @markred8! In Affinity Designer, those warp options will not work well with raster images. What you can do instead is go to the Pixel Persona in Affinity Designer. From there, you can warp images with Layer -> New Live Filter Layer. I have a video on this here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/Z4ixq41vZ7GNnqs

@@TechnicallyTrent I have this problem in Affinity Photo. They suggested on the forum that I disable hardware acceleration, but nothing has changed. Thanks for help.

Hi @nls3081, I'm not sure what type of tool you are referring to. Do you mean putting text in a circle or different shapes? True, they could invent a tool that will fit text to a shape. Currently, we have to do it manually with warp tools (as far as I know).

Because that would take design out of design. If you have a tool that does what he does, you'd be limited in your capacity to make other designs.
