What a refreshingly eloquent fellow. Oh, and I suppose that I could mention, incidentally, that he’s a quite-amazing singer. “Tangled in the Web” is still one of my favorites.

Jani Lane was one hell of a gifted song writer, singer, and frontman. I saw them before DRFSR came out. They were signed & the album was done, but it hadn’t been released yet. I was blown away & a fan from that moment on. I resisted them once he died…loved Black-n-Blue & Lynch Mob…but I couldn’t accept Warrant without Jani. Fast forward to 2 years ago. My wife wanted to go see them locally here in Scottsdale, AZ. So I took her…fully thinking I wasn’t going to enjoy it. I could not believe how amazingly Robert fit…I was blown away & SO happy for them. I had to look at my wife and be 100 with her…I was as wrong as Anything could be wrong! Now we’ve gone to support them 2 more times since! 🤘😎

Saw Jani Lane and Warrant when they opened for Eddie Money at Alfred University in Central NY. After Eddie had finished, and the place was basically cleared out, Jani wandered out and sat on the edge of the stage. This was a SMALL space [think middle school auditorium, Not arena/concert venue] and Jani was all but ignored. I was lucky enough to know who Warrant was, and asked for an autograph. He said ‘sure....have a seat’ and we chatted for over half an hour! By far one of my top 3 all time interactions, and 💯 the BEST $10 concert ticket of my life!🤘🏻🤩😎

I was fortunate to meet Rob an outdoor concert in Syracuse NY. Me and my buddy (two grown ass men) snuck backstage after the show and met all the guys in Warrant. Ok so Mason said he was friends with Jani in this video. In this video Mason basically (he does) state he went we behind JANI’s back. When Dixon spoke with Mason regarding the situation of Jani … did Mason contact Jani to let his buddy Jani know what is up ? Mason’s comments right after he talks about going back home after meeting Dixon doesn’t look good … as he said he was JANI’s friends. Would like to hear clarification on this from Mason. BTW… I posted up on this video earlier before watching it. Look at what I typed. It looks like I’m not going to any Warrant shows.

Both the first and second LM albums are so amazing. I think I love them so much for how different they are from one aother, if that makes sense. Absolute unit of a vocalist. Still sings great! I've been a fan since the day the 2nd Lynch Mob album was released. Most people here know his Lynch Mob and Warrant stuff, but if you haven't heard it, try listening to the 2nd Cry of Love album (Yes, he "replaced" ANOTHER vocalist in ANOTHER band). "Diamonds and Debris" is really special. Great album overall.

They were right about Pearl Jam. Eddie’s voice defined grunge. He was the one copied by STP, Bush, Creed, Nickelback, etc., which became the movement. If Andy Wood hadn’t died, and Mother Love Bone emerged first, we may not have seen such a severe disruption.
@drunkdadchronicles2 жыл бұрын
that wicked sensation vocal blew me away when i first heard it....i loved 80's metal and absolutely loved the 90's movement, i remember thinking that hair metal was done(which it more or less was) but wicked sensation came out around the same time grunge was breaking and i thought holy shit they may not be the biggest band(the lynch mob) but holy hell that vocalist is a force to be reckoned with kinda bitter sweet in a way, but a good amount of the 80's guys are having the last laugh these days the 80's resurgence is alive n kickin while most of the grunge bands are doin their best to keep it together besides pearl jam obviously they're still as massive as ever, possibly more massive in that Stones range of success. Sean Kinney was right it turns out, by the way AIC is still crushing it and STP's latest singer Jeff Gutt is awesome and obviously the Foo Fighters and Dave Grohl has obviously carried the Torch of Alt. Rock amazingly well RIP Taylor Hawkins
