His bitter divorce from Brent Muscat was so sad. 😢

"We were in 16,000 seat arenas, seating 7,000 people". That's a hint to look for the next band to start. Instead, 34 years later, you're still hanging onto that.

You can stop it with the eyeliner in your 60's dude. You can't say " we have a business to run" , wear eyeliner, and at the same time saying "we gotta get the old band back together" in your 60's. I am an 80's teen, and I loved every second of it, but successful people don't move forward by holding onto the past. You could have and should have been onto another gig on the next train running. Sad that these talented guys get stuck where they think they can't make any other music than what they first did. I'm an amateur bar and festival player, 53 years old. I have been in over 20 bands from bluegrass to metal to rockabilly. Ratt was obsolete and irrelevant by 1990, and you still hang on. Take your talent somewhere else instead of complaining that the old band doesn't take it seriously anymore.

this comes as a surprise 😮 'cause Warren didn't look like a controlling type to me at all.

Tony's explanation of oversaturation in any pop genre still hold true. A&R still only looks for "MORE OF THE SAME", no musical individuality of any kind...

I had the pleasure and honour of seeing Ron with GN'R Twice in 2006. I'll never forget his version of don't cry literally on stage on his own. It was absolutely stunning. Equal to Brian Carroll x

So predictable to hear 80's rock artists blame "grunge" for their downfall. Have they ever thought that perhaps getting lazy, performing poorly live, not growing their skills as individuals or band, writing terrible lyrics, following cookie-cutter formulas and pumping out the same bad cookie cutter songs over and over ad nauseum, etc..etc.. just may have been the problem?

In my opinion Skid Row has to at least TRY to reconnect with Bach one more time. If it doesn’t work out then at least they will shut down the talk once and for all. It’s not 1996 it’s now 2025.

Brad Gillis and Ricky Rockman explained it the best I personally never like the grunge thing I'm sorry I love Alice in Chains Pearl Jam Soundgarden just did not like Nirvana but then again like Brad Gillis said current brought it back to basics basically cleaning the Slate starting from scratch going back to regular 3 and 4 chord progressions without those long boring ass long Malmsteen guitar solos I would say the best was Pearl Jam of the grunge scene and don't forget out of Seattle Washington came Jimi Hendrix and we all know how that went a different guitar player with a different sound that changed music forever so now we're at Full Circle

TBH for me GnR were in a way the beginning of grunge. Yeh they had hair and rock, but fresh styles, down to earth and at times personal lyrics. Yeh Nirvana were ok, more punk really. AIC is where my grunge train stop. Felt it was a good progression on HM. Wasn't moved again until Linkin Park.

No, it killed off a fad, but people started wanting harder metal bands like Metallica, Megadeth and Pantera more. Judas Priest even shifted to a heavier sound.

He certainly got it right about the hair metal scene. Grunge didn’t kill it, the scene fed on itself.

I can hear Brad's Mesa IIc's on Speak of the Devil ... he said that RR amps and I'd assume Cabinets were bought and paid for by Sharon ... and due to obvious money issues, they pawned them off, that Equipment, to Brad in place of cash payment??? Did Brad have to use the White Marshal cabs, and did they have the Altec 417's in them ... I ask due to all indications push towards the financial, time, man hours etc ....expediency to just keep things as they were. I could see the Ozzy camp or basically Sharon say : Alright Bradley since you are being such a biitchh {: we will get your amp heads, from San Fran ... but we are not spending any money at all on acquiring other speakers and then having to also pay $$$ swapping them out. Even if Brad said he'd would provide his own speakers Celestions (sp?} and do the labor of swapping them.... which would also necessitate him doing the same to his Cabinets back in Cali. I almost think I remember Jake saying he had to use the Altecs for Bark. Now we know Santana had OEM Altecs in his combo Boogies as that is what were being provided, but Altec mismanaged themselves and ended up being bought by the Parent Co of ElectrovVoice; which is why EV's were fitted in the combo's by 1980. The sound on the Ritz recording, to me, indicates that the Altecs were used ... They have handle the Low End way better and sound awesome.

Seems like the difference between 80s and 90s bands is that 90s bands were less concerned about their status as rock and roll stars and more with their artistic integrity. I mean listen to In Utero or Vs… its no wonder bands like Great White couldn’t draw crowds once people had alternatives.

I was in high school from 90 to 95, and grunge, to me, was the worst music of all time. So glad I never took part in it. I can only thank my older brothers or I wouldnt know who TNT was. Im from Sydney, Australia but I dont think my Tell No Tales LP will ever get signed.
