Avoid airlines and cruise stocks for long term investing. But I scalp airline and cruise stocks and make money. Every time I've scalped them I'll make 3-7% during a 1-4 day span typically. Recently made decent money with carnival. But long term they're a bad choice. A lot of people don't realize that Warren Buffett and everyone else during these days didn't have a computer with an internet connection so scalping was basically impossible and the only way you could really invest was just by buying a good company and sitting on it. Totally valid points but it's a bit antiquated these days.
