Demartini is probably the most underrated guitar player from the 80s Incredible leads and riffs

Carpentrov699 I don't know, He had my respect..
@davidbakerscuba7 жыл бұрын
Warren got tons of deserved respect. Stryper's Michael Sweet and Oz Fox duo was most underrated.
@cordeliaforlear166 жыл бұрын
Very true.
@dspencer12016 жыл бұрын
Yeah, Michael and Oz definitely, but also Brad Whitford of Aerosmith. Robin Crosby envied Stryper's tone. Guitars on the 1984 Stryper EP did sound better than the 1983 Ratt EP.

Warren was never underrated in my book. He still has some of the best licks and bends of anyone. It's a shame that guys like C.C. Deville got more attention and sold more records. Would love to meet Warren in person some day.

Got to meet him in 2017. He signed my out of the cellar vinyl!

Don't think C.C. Deville got more attention. Warren has some attention but agree maybe not enough. Deville is a pretty good guitarist imo

"Ride cymbal" vs. "Warren's guitar solo". It was a fierce battle and would've been an epic scene in the All Valley Karate Tournament 2:31 🤘🎸👍

DeMartini was not underrated at all. Ratt was fucking huge from 84-89. He (and the band) was/were on the cover of every magazine you could think of. The most underrated guitar player from the 80's is the late great Criss Oliva from Savatage. He (and the band for that matter) got absolutely no respect from anyone, period (well....except the real musicians who could fully appreciate his genius tone). He was a MONSTER player and his name should be mentioned when we speak of Eddie, Randy, Jake, George and Warren. He is in that very exclusive club. \m/

+Drums 'N' More REALLY Excellent job on the Drums by YOU pal ! I thought you played those signature "Crazy Train" drum fills on the Tom-toms just perfectly. Of course, as you said, I'm sure it was an incredible experience for all involved to play with the great Warren DeMartini on Lead Guitar. It was cool and interesting for me to hear Warren play different guitar riffs in the solo as opposed to what Randy had played. Many years ago, I was the Lead Singer in a band that played this song. Your Lead Singer here has the SAME vocal tone on it as I did. (I noticed he dropped a few notes etc. BUT it's not easy to sound like Ozzy Osbourne, that's for sure ! )

That was fun to watch, but I was shocked that Warren left out so many of Randy's little fills and flourishes! And mean that in a GOOD way, thinking that Warren was better, technically than that. Regardless, I still like Warren a lot and still think he's quite underrated. Much like Dave Meneketti from Y&T , Nuno Bettencourt, etc etc ...
