Warrior Assault Systems - DCS vs Recon Plate Carrier

The DCS (Dynamic Combat System) is a lightweight armour carrier, with removable sides. Can hold Nexus Soft Armour Front and Back and in adjustable side pouches,is also capable of holding large ballistic plates front and back, and 6 x 8 side plates.
The DCS is fully adjustable for height and width, comes with 3D Spacer mesh lining for cooling and comfort.
The DCS can be be worn in tandem with the Warrior Frag Belt (sold separately).
The Recon is the latest evolution of plate carriers from Warrior Assault Systems. Designed to be a lightweight and versatile low profile armour carrier, offering enhanced mobility without compromising protection.
The RPC has been developed to hold medium and large SAPI and ESAPI stand alone plates and the most common 10” x 12“ I.C.W. plates available. Plate pockets have been backed with 3D mesh for added ballistic performance, comfort and dispersal of body heat. The Recon Plate Carrier comes standard with ladder style cummerbunds that attach to the RPCs front via 2 removable ITW SR Clips. This allows rapid access when getting in and out of the RPC (ITW SR Clips have a combined breaking strength of 600lbs per side). The RPCs shoulders can be worn in 3 different configurations as a slick low profile with the addition of velcro padded shoulders and wrap around sleeve for hydration and comms channeling.
The RPC comes as standard with a removable MOLLE front flap held in place by 2 vertical SQM clips and strong velcro which allows the panel to be removed and replaced with a wide variety of preconfigured weapon-specific pouch panels and Warrior’s new Pathfinder Chest Rig. The RPC integrates with Warrior’s new Back Panel

I love my DCS plate carrier. I bought it some time ago when I was in United States. Sadly, it isn't easy to buy one when you're living in Chile, due to WAS has no retailers in South America (actually, I've been thinking in become one). Anyway, I have been using it for some time and it's amazing, really confortable even when you're wearing all the level IV ballistic plates. I'm using it together with a Belt similar to Warrior Frag Belt.

The recon has also got a variety of back plates with pouches and there’s a drop-down pouch which can go under the vest at the front, so you can get a shit loads of kit on all you’ll ever need especially if you then have webbing/body armour, and again really good quality kit. I use allot of it an no not for airsoft I use mine for in the field and range days.

Interesting set up. Where do you put your bayonet? I have a SA80 bayonet. It's loose in its frog,when the frog is in the new sheath,it's hard to take out the frog. So now I just have bayonet on different sheath. I like to have a real bayonet set up. Ideas? You seem to know a lot. Thanks

+RandomTrashy well in terms of how big I am, the plate shoulder straps won't go short enough, and the front and back plate themselves are ever so slightly too wide, from the video, the rpc looks narrower, and seems to have shorter shoulder straps

Hey - was wondering what mag pouches you have on the recon - the ones that look to be stacked on top of each other - I wanna get enough for 6 mags ( so 3 of them if they're individual? ) so that way I have extra space for a 7th and 8th on each side to hold while they aren't in the mag well. I'm also looking at getting the redi mag as well, to hold both 7 and 8 mags --- anyways! Yea - which mag pouches are those lol

+RandomTrashy I am wondering this same question. I am buying a carrier for both real world training/plate use and airsoft. I am going to keep my plates in during games to condition my body to wearing them. My problem is I have ar500.com ar500 10''x 12'' ACS plates which are only .26'' thick. I am worried about them having forward to rear movement since they arent as thick as SAPI plates. I am 5'5'' 125# and I wear a size 30 pants. I love the recon and its slimness if you will but I want a cummberbund, gosh its hard. As I said Im getting for real world training as well and being small is an issue. I am not young (28) just a smaller frame guy. I have also looked at the LBT 6094, LBX Armatus, Shellback Tactical Banshee, AWS inch Operators Choice, Mayflower APC, and 1 or two others. I guess being small I want a slim'ish profile that still has a cummberbund, and quality features as these do. If the Recon has a cummberbund this wouldnt even be a discussion.
