I get what you're saying. I knew about the books first because my brother liked them. I had no idea there was this weird fandom attached to it. When I caught my first glimpse, I had read half of the first book but recognized what it was about at a glance. I clicked with mild curiosity. That didn't last long. I noped out after half a minute. I didn't have to watch long to know that I didn't want to know.

I mean, the mcelboys are 5-8 years older than me, and I was in high school when those suckers started coming out. I still read them because I'm a huge dork, but they were adults in college or whatever, so it's not surprising they never read these books aimed at middle-schoolers.

@@rizahawkeyepierce1380 Yeah true, i was the Target Audience for those books when they first started coming out. Now I still read them to know whats up with the cats and also know what the animations are about haha but like, all my friends, every single one, they all came up in the same violent animal media circles that i did. We all started with warriors and went onto other things from there so I'm so very used people who even if they're not active in warriors fandom anymore, at least have that foundation. @thewarriorcat1214 жыл бұрын
@@FraserConnell As an actual answer, the Warrior Cats book series was written by Erin Hunter. It's about a group of wild cats in a forest who are split into four clans. The books cover the wars they fight over food and territory, adventures among humans (or "two-legs") and their daily struggle for survival. The book series is still ongoing and currently has 80 books featuring their adventures. The series is targeted towards young adults, but contains mature topics (war, violence, found family, betrayal, sacrifice, death of adults and kittens, and more). I highly recommend them, starting with the first book of the primary series, Into the Wild (2003).
