You've probably seen this on twitter by now, but someone recently noticed that earlier this season Ava says to Beatrice that she's been paralysed for 12 years aand THIS episode when Jillian Salvius proposed alcohol to father Vincent and he says "12 years and 6 months tell my that I shouldn't" or something, soo the implications of that are really interestiing 👀

Also when Ava got the Halo Vincent said that “Maybe not entirely random” (talking about the person who got the halo which is Ava) I also thought that when Vincent said that, she knew Ava because he was the drunk driver who hit the car Ava and her mum was in and Vincent got really guilty about what happened that he became a priest.

If he was involved in her accident I'm pretty sure the writers would've included in the story, they had like 2 seasons for that. Vincent never wanted to give the halo to Ava. His plan became a thing later when he found out that Ava has it because he knew that she doesn't know anything so he can controll her.

At the very beginning when you said you wish Ava had used her powers to defend herself from Lilith, I see your point, but I kinda like that she couldn’t, first because it shows that she needs to train to learn to control the halo, but also it shows how badass Lilith actually is, cause she was the next bearer and it shows how well prepared she really was to carry the halo.

I liked JC. I felt like they were really balanced with his character. He was genuinely likable and a great hook up for Ava. But it never got too serious. And their dynamic established Ava as being sexually confident and adventurous, which builds a lot of character. I'm relieved to see anything straight not be toxic or take over the main storyline.

Yeah, I think Lilith saw Ava finally doing something worthy of a halo-bearer in trying to defend an innocent person (even if I'm not a big fan of him, JC is an innocent person in this 'holy war' of sorts). She's not evil, but she's very much the latest in a long line of sister warriors and halo-bearers, a family that's very likely to be incredibly invested in chain of command and has high expectations of her. If Cardinal Duretti says the halo needs to come back, then it's god's will for it to come back. If Ava's willing, great, but if not, she's not going to question her faith leaders about it (she should but...well, her upbringing likely doesn't lend to that type of thinking). So she started carving it out of Ava as a last resort, but then a few moments later after the Tarask appeared, Ava's there squaring off with a demon...and Ava's untrained, but she can see what Mary was talking about re: Ava. But Mary was wrong, too, about her. She wasn't going to let Ava die, not if there was hope for her to come back to the OCS and fulfill her purpose, not if there was a chance for her to save a life. Lilith is a tire fire of a human being, but she's fun to watch. Unfortunately, getting impaled by a monstrous demon thing and vanishing into the aether leaves a fair bit of unfinished business. And yeah, poor Mary. That's two of her sisters gone in quick succession. Her heart has to be breaking. It didn't seem like they got along well lately, but Mary treated her with kid gloves the way one might treat an aggravating, bratty little sister, she did everything she could to not hurt her and to just get her to stop. There's love in that, and after Lilith's (far over the line) criticism over not protecting Shannon, for her to also not be able to protect Lilith...she's gotta be going through it. . And Ava absolutely needs to stop running, even if just long enough for her to process. And Dr Salvius does seem very suspicious.
