It was intentional! Teagan’s Athena always felt super assertive and badass to me but I wanted to approach the song as more of an uninterested/aloof god who grows more invested throughout the song.

In the myth, Athena falls for a similar trick, intentionally, with the implication it's both to encourage the use off trickery in Odysseus(And later his son Telemachus.). And because she views him a bit like the child she never had. She consistently aids him along his Odyssey. So it's less, "Haha, you fell for my trick." And more, "Hah, cute, a trick, I like it. I'll play along."
