I remember a story in an old games workshop magazine about a space marine who tries to infiltrate Huron Blackheart’s legions. The part that stuck with me was the ending where Huron promises to make him a hero to be proud of. The marine wakes up,to find himself in darkness and realizes he can’t move but he can feel cables attached to his body and is left to wonder of Blackheart had him put in a chaos dreadnought or just entombed him and launched him into space.

I think a really cool idea for a story/videogame in the 40k universe would be if it was based on the perspectives of two space marines. One loyalist and the other chaos. And it took you through their lives from their childhoods, how they were inducted into their legions, what life in their legions were like, the many battles the fought, all building up to the confrontation between the two as the final boss. I feel like the legions that would fit this idea best would be the Black Templars and Word Bearers.
