Great video. Warts are really neat. I used to get them in high school on my feet from wrestling and would have to rip them out. Crazy how easily they spread and how your body reacts to them.

What a great informative video! I have a giant (what looks like a verruca wart) on my face beside my right eyebrow that has been giving me painful chronic headaches behind my right eye. Scary but fascinating to observe. Getting it checked out in 2 days thank goodness! Your video explained what I had a hard time understanding. Thanks again!

what ended up happening? I think I have one on my cheek- it's been almost 2 years :(

@@ktv1553 I got half of it cut out by a plastic surgeon so they could have it tested and the other half I took out myself . I have a small scar but it’s not even noticeable. No reoccurrence thank goodness. I know what you’re thinking…why didn’t they take it all at once? I had to beg for them to even do half. They wanted my family doctor to do the rest but I was tired of waiting so just did it myself.

Amazing video!!!!😍loved all your cases! Thanks a lot for the video🙏 I guess the filiform warts which you are talking about could be called squamous papilloma & also your last case seemed squamous papilloma & even 1 case on eye which you showed as there are not many koilocytes & also intoeing is absent Also dr..I had a question… do you recommend Patients on taking HPV vaccine..specifically ones whose got these warts??

I personally do not use the term squamous papilloma in dermatopathology. I know that oral pathologist use that term and I think that they use it to refer to the oral mucosa equivalent of a verruca. Regarding HPV vaccine, I do not know enough about it to know if it works well for patients who have regular warts/verruca. I have heard some colleagues talk about this for patients with bad words, but I don’t know enough about it personally. I definitely think it’s a good idea for people to get the HPV vaccine for preventative reasons (provided they meet the guidelines/criteria for it).

squamous papilloma is a term I don’t personally use in skin. I think of it as more of an oral pathology term but I don’t have a good grasp on how/when it is used in oral pathology.
