I love how the figurines are animated when they fight and do actions. You still get that feeling of playing on a game-board with figurines and the like, but with customizable, fully animated characters. I don't know the best way to describe it, but it's really cool. I do think I would like the game a bit more if it was purely turn-based, though. I happen to be one o' them fellas what likes one and dislikes the other. The way it's hybridized...Well, It's better for me than a true RTS would be, and it'd probably still be fun, but it's still just a tiny bit iffy for me.

I'm a big fan of RTS games (I grew up playing command and conquer and homeworld which got me into RTS games in the first place) but there are a few turn based stratagie games that I enjoy as well. (Civilization and Pokemon are the top ones that I love) I think that a hybrid turn based RTS game is great as long as its exicuted properly, which so far, this game seems to do a pretty good job at it! Can't wait to see more!

Certainly a visually striking game. I think there's something to the idea that there's only limited crossover between the TBS and RTS groups (I lean to the former, but can tolerate some versions of the latter).

It's good, and there's a king of the hill style level with 20 waves of enemies. Also your troops got hurt on lvl 2 from the poison area effect that appears when certain enemies die.

This game has since been adapted to PS4 console, and its like $15 right now. I might pick it up. Thank you for your review, I am a casual gamer and was worried this game would require a sort of Magic The Gathering sort of deep knowledge, strategy, arithmetic, etc. But it looks like Wartile is a little laid back comparatively. My kinda style and for 15 bucks, its a good game for when im tired or running, shooting, looting and driving. Lol

The board game design would work great with a Game of Thrones game. I'm envisioning something very similar to the opening theme of the show, with the political aspects intact.

This game seems a bit like a Final Fantasy Charge Time System. Personally I think they should have maybe looked into an Arena Rex/Bushido: New Dawn style system.

My friends and I like to get lit and play board games these days so this would be perfect. Really got back into Settlers of Katan recently I bet Wartile is super fun whe you dont take it seriously and just play. And its 15 bucks right now on the PS store.

Golem Gates has been in Early Access for only 3 months and is 300x better than Wartile, and this is coming from a Norwegian who automatically loves anything about vikings.
