In the beginning, Leila Hatoum speaks about her early awareness of civil war, which enabled her to report from war-endangered areas confidently and be challenged to investigate. My Catholic father was born in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 1920, a year before Britain colonised 20% of (Northern) Ireland in 1921. He emigrated to Britain in his early adulthood for a job opportunity. He was always adamant that racism was wrong, but perhaps equally important, he taught us to correctly recognise and oppose racist & fascist elements in governments. I, & my extended family, and have always supported equal rights for the Palestinians, & for the future security & protection of all the Arab neighbours of Israel's 76+ years & its allies' ongoing tyranny.

Maybe you two should have a monthly podcast What does she say about the argument that if Lebanon did not defend Palestine they would not have been devastated and secondly what about the Lebanese army oerformance after ceasefire watching and presiding over so much destruction and lives lost and doing nothing. This session was so informative. If I was Leila’s father I’d be very proud . God protect her and you .

Leila Hatoum is such good guest Well Done ! well read journalist that gets to the heart of the matter. Always wondered who the person behind the journalist was and why so well rounded Thanks for those questions Leith brilliant interview. She is such a patriot. I still don’t understand what causes a journalist to be a Leila Hatoum and what makes one Ms Tueini both equally well educated yet one no holds serious reporter the other well does not do justice to her talent pro Emirati Arabist west at expense of Lebanon politically correct your left thinking what a waste and why the difference. For example she ws undiluted on the teroohrism of the pager attack on Lebanon but the other would be so excusing of it something that even western writers said was barbaric .your left thinking one puts an agenda before facts and discriminates for praise of the VIP set despite her fathers blood yet she has potential to be such an asset for Lebanon another example is the new American emabassy which Craig Murray exposed handsomely. Leila calls Out the bankers and puts blame on them for wxonmy Yet other is muted .Still Non the wiser.

I’m sure it’s just coincidence this channel is NEVER in my suggested videos… even now that I’m subscribed. Meanwhile I’m bombarded with ads posing as video suggestions from those Turning Point USA idiots, it doesn’t even give me an option to “block” them anymore. lots of fast spoken words, habibatis. i saw about the warmedia in Irakwar 2003. hm.... good you are thinking and talking and telling us, be carefull not to get more bitter and caught in the lust of war. yes the bombing gets normal. but if the heart gets cold like ice, its not good for no soul. i am not sure what to feel nor think about this interview jet. breathing peacefullness is helpfull to all of us.

Good journalistic points but she talks over the interviewer MRouf who is calm sharp and intelligent. She needs to calmly talk and slow down so her points can be clearly heard. I agree Wahabi death squads as in Afghanistan to Syria and same as Zionist death squads and I am SURE as a child she WAS aware of Sunni Shiah !
