One thing I noticed: the more urban areas are located around the edges of the map while the center area is mostly natural rock formations and farms. Its going to be a major change from the mostly urban setting of Verdansk with the city taking most of the central part of the map into now having a lot of open fields as the circles progress. I wonder how and if that will affect strategies and the meta.

I could be off here, but I feel like recently late circles always pull to open areas. I haven't had an ending in actual downtown or factory or hospital in what feels like weeks, but I've had a ton of late circles at the edges of the map in the woods and fields. I wonder if that wasnt done as some form of transition period to the more open new map?

The map looks amazing in terms of visuals and it's definitely a stark contrast to Verdansk. Obviously it's down to how good it plays if it can carry Warzone for the next year and beyond

The layout of the map definitely seems like it’s designed to add many other facets of architecture and landscape design later on. I can see adding buildings and stuff to some of those more barren areas will keep people interested in future seasons

@@mcpassion8752 this is what I liked the most about COD: Black Ops 4. The map changes were huge between seasons, and there was always something new to explore. The small building changes in Verdansk for its life have been pretty boring. The flooding set up and changing Port and all that in BOPS was cool, and then adding the yacht and all that. I hope they add something like that to Caldera.

@@xxGmon3yxx one drive on a multi complex piece of software isn’t the end all be all, that’s like a splash in a lake. Coding is extremely difficult They would have to have a good chunk to develop a bullet proof hack that goes undetecte.

@@403Beats Coding difficulty is subjective. With the driver leaking it just makes things for cheat developers easier and faster to develop. The copy and pasters will have a hard time for sure but the real developers will have it bypassed by the 2nd day if not within a few hours.

Only thing im hoping here is with it integrating its still considered a ps4 title which i assume it would be so that old gen can still play it. I have a ps5 but as long as it stays a ps4 title i can use my old controller that i have back buttons for. Not sure if other controllers that were compatible with old gen also work on ps5 i just know you can use a ps4 controllers on ps5 if its a ps4 title you are playing.

I'm excited for the new map and changes, but that is a bitter-sweet feeling since my warzone playing experience is that out of 10 team BR matches, 5 times I don't get a complete team, 4 times at least one teammate will exit the game after dying and if I'm lucky I get one good game in with a full committed team. I hope the new map will have solos right away.
