the people in this comment section claiming that batman has plot armor because he does things no human at peak physical condition would be able to do in our world actually makes my faith in our species drop even further than it already is. comparing a human in a fictional world (especially one where super powers are common) to humans in the real world is stupid as hell. i can't believe i actually need to spell this out but here i am doing it anyway.

Realistically fights and stealth encounters aren't actually taking that long. During stealth sequences, Batman was likely only in there for at most several minutes, same with fights honestly. They likely aren't taking all that long compared to what the gameplay is making it seem. He also likely isn't bothering too much with random street fights as these games are supposed to be taking place in a single night. This would answer why he's not getting tired.

Batman likely has a stronger immune system than most people due to the number of enemies he has that use chemical agents on the regular. So realistically, Batman can be argued is resisting the mental effects. I know this is pure speculation but it's always how I interpreted it.

In my defense I just don’t like Batman and the no kill rule is dumb when you realize just how much shit happens in Gotham if Bruce wanted to actually make Gotham safe and not kill anyone he could send his most dangerous rouges to the phantom zone because the joker alone has killed hundreds of thousands of people and Bruce keeps letting him go over and over and over my issues with Arkham Batman is he dosent really show any emotions through the trilogy except 20 mins in city when it comes to Talia and he was full of emotion in origins so I don’t count it and while I love Kevin in knight especially Bruce lacks any emotion at all

insomniac spiderman sucks ngl, idc about power level in story, the combat and stealth is ass after ive played so many hours of arkham i feel so restricted in spiderman, the game's got nothing but traversal on Arkham, of course its good, im not gonna be a fool sayin its flat out bad, its sick swinging around (especially with mods) but man even arkham's gliding is close especially without mods, the people who glaze the insomniac games must just love eye candy, cuz the combat is nothing but mashing the attack button (and i played on the hardest difficulty, which helped make it engaging, but arkham knight level of peak? heeeelll naaah and stealth aint even worth talking about if you think spidey's stealth is anywhere near bats, it aint even worth having a conversation)

@@mr.furious.the.animator far from it, maybe early on, but when you get to the harder difficulties and later on fights, i mean just check out someone playing iceberg lounge and you'll see how insane that gets Arkham focuses on ground combat, and building absurdly large combos, while juggling several different enemy types, similar to spiderman but very different in execution, cuz batman mostly revolves around counter attacks, spiderman revolves around dodges, making it far simpler, just mash attack and hit dodge with the very generous dodge window and youre good to go, batman's counter attacks aren't insanely fast but you gotta stay on your toes, and pay attention to what youre being attacked by having normal parry's, multi attacks, then unblockables, this is where arkham really takes the upper hand cuz having 3 seperate forms of evasion to consider while spidey has one solution for all his forms of damage then that gets into damage being dealt, spiderman goes for air combos, where as batman goes for cape stun, cape stun is far better as it keeps you in the action doing a beat down, you dont just get to float above the fight beating up the defenseless enemy, in the air you only gotta consider guns, but batman has to consider all the previous 3 mentioned forms of damage, ontop of guns which i forgot are sometimes mixed in with hand to hand, and if someone has their hands on a gun its damn near a death sentence, you cant just hit dodge you gotta take that gun out immediately, that leads into how each game deals with combos arkham has actual combos that you gotta carry and will expire if you dont continue attacking, spiderman goes for this weird meter system that doesn't have nearly as much tension as combos, one mistake and you lose your entire combo, where as you get to keep your meter in spiderman i was gonna get into the things you can do with your specials in each game, but that'd make my already lengthy message double what it already is, and i think i made my point if you haven't tried the harder difficulties of arkham i'd highly recommend a no health upgrades hardest difficulty run, its loads of fun

Ignoring plot armor because it takes the form of magic superpowers like leaping across streets from a standing position to kick a dude and leaping back is an interesting choice. (Dumb) Spiderman canonically has a power that allows him to dodge bullets. That's the consistent nature of his universe. Batman has no steroids. No powers. Is weighed down by armor and gadgets that don't fit in his pockets. Choosing to ignore these physical limitations for every situation he gets shot at or launches a punch flip is plot armor. It's not the nature of the universe he's in. Nobody else has spider sense, Nobody else knocks out people with the throw of one boomerang, Nobody that does, is a normal human. Only batman and the other playable characters. Who in canon have no powers and have the same limits as any other dude with Olympic medalist physiques cause it's just that easy to accomplish apparently in gotham. Otherwise mfs like professor pyg or zsasz would have had dudes punching him out when their normal human asses got kidnapped. The consistent nature of the arkhamverse is batman is a normal guy, and the game design choice to break that consistency is a hole in logic known as plot armor.

There's nothing necessarily wrong with the amount of plot armor batman has, it's fun and all. But it is definitely there and it's definitely his biggest power. Nobody may talk about it as much when it comes to other protagonists, but that doesn't minimize its existence. Tools aside he regularly does things physically impossible. Chalking it up to gameplay fun, the gameplay still takes place in the story. It all happens. In the main plot.

U have to objectively prove these said actions are “physically impossible within the Arkham verse” which u can’t because appealing to reality is fallacious. Ye they are called humans but u have to prove humans in the Arkham verse and humans in real life are the same thing. Maybe the limitations of humans in the Arkham verse exist to a higher extent. If Batman is consistently performing these feats it would upscale the limitations in said verse not be called plot armor. The best example I can use is one punch man anime. They are all called humans but with enough training in that universe they can grow strong enough to destroy Jupiter alone. That wouldn’t be categorized as “plot armor” gang😭😭😭that would just mean the laws, possibilities and limitations function differently in said verse. Also Batman is visibly wearing an armor in Arkham knight so him dodging a bullet wouldn’t be plot armor in any regard because that bullet poses 0 danger to his existence. Your argument of him being held down by the weight of the armor also crumble because he wears a thermo spandex in asylum and city then an armor in knight that was verbatimly stated to be carbon weave fiber allowing him to move as if there is no weight on him. So either he has no armor in these games or his armor is already a factor in keeping him alive. In no way shape or form is Batman under any regard using plot armor against these manmade weapons 😭😭😭
