You're right I did in-fact completely forget it existed.

From what I saw, public perception of B4B changed overnight after the Crowbcat video came out
@suskacykaАй бұрын
I don't think it would matter even if the game was objectively better in every aspect, L4D2 has over a decade worth of custom content that lets you completely change everything about the game into whatever you want, and that's something B4B cannot achieve.

The thing that made L4D stay with me was the vs mode. I played L4D2 for years. B4B didn't have a compelling vs mode, so my friends and I stopped playing it after a couple months. I came back to it after they significantly overhauled the game, and it's more fun now, but playing through the PvE campaign gets old.

Bad? No. Missing the magic of left 4 dead it was trying to capture? Definitely
@GoldenYT01Ай бұрын
Agreed, while playing it alot of the time i would forget that it’s even supposed to be a left4dead game, it just kinda felt like it’s own horde zombie game
@squashedhobbit6049Ай бұрын
@GoldenYT01 yeah, it didn't have the character, the atmosphere, I found the deck building overly complicated and unnecessary, the character themselves were so dull, I can still hear to this day lines from L4D and their voices as clear as day, I can't remember anything from B4B
@GoldenYT01Ай бұрын
I think it’s really funny how I literally just finished playing and it’s the same thing for me, I literally can’t remember any b4b voices or voice lines but left 4 dead voices are practically stuck In my head.

@@GoldenYT01 I've not played L4D in years since Xbox 360 days and I can remember voices and quotes and even levels B4B does have that

I played this before I played l4d2 and I couldn't handle how dated it felt. I have over 1000hrs in B4B, and I can def say it's one of my favorite games to just get on and play through with friends or just anytime. The cards get a lot more specific and more fleshed out for crazy builds and a ton of silly ones. Now im not trying to knock anyone that thinks l4d2 is good but i dont think that if the devs made l4d2 now it would be as loved as it is. i think that it needed to change in order to have a chance.

B4b in my opinion is what l4d2 would be like if they made it today, so I’m glad the game was created when it was, and I love the dated feeling of l4d2, it wouldn’t be the same at all without it, I’m not a huge fan of this fad with every game needing realistic realistic type graphics. It kinda ruins it for me, they all feel the same, the only thing that feels weird about l4d2 after playing b4b are the animations. Tbh
