The street artist has claimed the stunt as his own, after a black dinghy with mannequins strapped on, was launched across a Glastonbury crowd at the weekend.
It was designed to imitate a small boat used by asylum seekers when crossing the British channel.
The Home Secretary James Clevely called the stunt 'vile' and said it 'trivialises' deaths.
A spokesperson for the band, Idles, has said they weren't aware of the stunt until after the gig - but the song it was launched during is known to condem right-wing immigration policies.
