Was buying this Back to the Future Accessory Set a mistake?

We need Biff from the future in his blue robe with gold chains. We need 1955 Marty in the leather jacket and hat. We need a 1950’s George McFly. Then to finish the line we need the BTTF 3 western Marty and Doc and a Buford Mad Dog Tannen.

It is smaller than I expected, but, it’s also less expensive than other NECA accessory sets. But, I really like most of the stuff that comes with it. Einstein…plutonium case…mind reading hat..future shoes…hazmat head cover. I think the value is there for fans of the series. But, I can understand some disappointment.

I started collecting BTTF figures, I stopped bc they kept releasing the same three characters. I know there was different versions in all three movies. I don't just want multiple Marty's,Biff's or Doc Brown. I want the original Jennifer,Marty's parents,brother and sister. It shouldn't be too difficult to get them, what are they doing lately to turn down 💰. They made them into Funko pops. At least two of them I've seen. The original Jennifer and Chrispin Glover. I'm not 💯% positive I think they also made Dave into a pop. For me to collect action figures from movies I want every character from the movies. Just the actors who had lines. Including Mr. Peabody his wife and son.

Boxes for the VHS tapes from the TMNT accessory pack is a great idea. Hopefully I can find that pack someday. But I've made a few miniature paperback books and found that adding a laminate sheet layer (glossy tape works fine too) over the print gives it an extra touch of realism and durability.

That’s a great idea! The VHS I made can work without the NECA stuff, btw. The bottoms are able to be open or closed. I have a shelf with my “collection” now. Haha

When they put items on their store they have an international option, too. This was the only way to get it. Being aware of all their announcements is not easy since you can’t actually sign up with their newsletter on either of their sites

Mine is on its way. Honestly. i just bought it for Einstein, and to a lesser extent the plutonium case. But even when it was announced I wasn’t too impressed given the very weird selection of accessories which are either too specific, like the license plates, or made for figures that will never be made. The ‘You’re fired’ fax, the walkie talkie, we’ll never see old Marty or Marty in his spy outfit. The brainwave scanner is neat, but not accurate for the Doc we’re having. Not continuing this line makes some of these accessories just completely useless, which I hate when it comes to action figures. It’s a missed opportunity frankly. On a different note, your video tape packaging accessories look awesome. You’re insane for coming up with those but we love you for it 😁 keep that stuff coming!

I don’t buy the ‘not enough people are interested’ excuse. I mean, they’re releasing the most obscure characters for their TMNT lines, from movies to comics and cartoons. If those sell well enough to continue, then the principal characters of a movie trilogy shouldn’t be a problem. Among the toy collectors I know this was a hugely successful line with tons of potential. My guess is either licensing issues that stopped them from making more characters, or more likely they just got sick of it.

@@quintaeh don't get me wrong, I adore the TMNT lines, but in all honesty, after the main characters and major secondaries like Keno, I honestly don't see the point of having that one Mutant you see for 3 minutes in episode 6 of season 5, when so many great major characters from one of the best movie trilogies are neglected. But, can't fault the TMNT line for being popular, it's a great line.

U made a good point on the line, compared to most other Neca lines I have never had any issues finding any BTTF stuff. Which kinda shocked me when it first started, I myself consider this one the greatest and my favorite movies ever made. The hot toys always sell out and before they remade them the original Marty was widely considered a grail. So there is a good size collector community out there for it, I suppose just not Neca.

Mine is also on the way but yeah, this is a pretty underwhelming set. They didn't even bother to make a new head sculpt for Doc, it's the exact same head sculpt that came with the 1955 version. And of course we get nothing for part III because the line is already dead.

I'm late to the party, but am looking to maybe pick up this line. Prices are starting to get discounted. I clearly missed this Accessory kit, and it's now going being listed for $300. Seeing the quality of some of these, Einstein would be nice to have, but some of the quality isn't there. For $40 it'd be kind of a nice to have...but at $300 it's not a need to have.
