I think that people are just trying to understand themselves by looking into their family history. Recognition of similarities causes them to feel a connection with ones ancestors. The series of Stephen Fry is a great example of this & very moving 😢

darling.. have you entirely missed the point of WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE? Its about family history. If you mean his sexual orientation.. well it is highly relevant. Her ancestor was mixing with well known people in the era, well known in British history and at the time any such relationship as illegal.. Its interesting. Don't like it.. don;t seek it out and watch it. You can say ANYTHING is a family or private matter. I think you are freaked out its about gayness.
