animegx45 neither were indestructible. They were only tough to hurt. Spyro in his nether form had an incredibly unfair durability and power advantage that Crash could not hope to match. He couldn't wear Aku Aku, because he still wouldn't be able to survive Spyro's attacks unscathed as they destroy matter regardless of its durability.

At first I also thought so too that original Spyro woulda been fair opponent for Crash but after I saw this match, I was proven wrong. Original Spyro from the first game to Shadow Legacy(1998-2005, in total of 10 games, GBA included) has NEVER shown the same kinda insane durability Legend or Netflix versions have.

With some exceptions, I don't think that they try to put out Death Battles that are stomps, like they once tried doing Kirby vs. Ditto, but it wasn't before long they realized that Kirby is a "monster", so they decided for a more closer-to-fair competition with Buu.

AceEliteMaster So far this season, that may be considered the closest match-up that still ended in a stump since the victor only needed to land one decisive blow to win. I know it's their show and they want to do fun match-ups, but close bouts can be entertaining as well. There are so many mismatches in this show. That is why I want them to do a more even match-up. Problem is, I do not know of any good even match-ups...

I consider a "stomp" or one-sided fight to be a fight in which one could not conceive of a way for the loser to win at all. Crash had no option whatsoever to hurt Spyro, so yes. This was a totally one-sided match.

The Death Battle was good. But I was surprise how close it would have been. Honestly, I felt that Spyro's Aether Breathe and Dark Form were cop-outs. Crash's cop-out would have been jacking, but Spyro has no mojo. No mojo, no jacking. I kinda wanted the Death Battle to be with OG Crash and OG Spyro instead. If that was the battle, they would either tie or Crash would have a semi-edge.

Not really. Overtime, Spyro could in theory figure out how to deal with Crash. His ability to fly (which he did have then) allows him more options to find someway to beat Crash.

Hey guys here's an idea for you. Why not use composite versions of each character (each character has all powers, abilities, gadgets and techniques shown in all forms of media) like if you're going to do, for example, thor vs flash, use every version of a single flash character (either Barry Allen, Wally West or Jay Garrick, not all 3) having everything they have available to them through media vs a single version of thor (odinson or Jane Foster) with everything available to them. That way you can judge the results of each battle more accurately

Yea, it was a completely one sided fight. Spyro has natural air mobility and can fire projectiles. Crash can't do either without the help of machines, which Spyro can quickly disable with his elemental breaths. Plus Crash needed Aku Aku to protect him from energy/elemental attacks while Spyro can use his fire or earth abilities to form a shield on his own. Crash needed a simpler opponent such as Banjo or Gex where he can use his athletic abilities a lot more effectively.

I think really this was more sided towards spyro since even his ps1 version could beat crashes ps1 version, since crash cant spin through a steel crate while ps1 spyro could charge through steel doors, anvils, ​and other things.

yeah man i'm a huge DBZ fan, have been since i was a kid but the ammount of times ive had people go crazy with me for suggesting a character would lose is stupid. that being said the writing does get ridiculous at times and gives them stupid power to the point it almost spoils the plot so it takes a powerful character to beat them.

The battle was literally sand vs earth. Not Toph vs Gaara. He's a ninja, he's got something called ninjutsu which weren't used at all in the fight. There's no way Toph can hold off a lightning attack from Gaara when she can't see it coming. Gaara doesn't even need sand to win, he's faster than sound.

Mitchell Patterson Except Toph literally has nowhere near the speed capable of keeping up with Gaara. His sand is fast enough to keep up with Rock Lee who at bare minimum could move faster than the eye can see and that was only when they were kids. No one in the Avatar-verse can move that fast, not even the Avatars. Even if she is capable of sensing his sand, she still has no way to even approach the speed necessary to counter it. There's a difference between sensing something and being physically able to react to it.

There are total of 4 different iterations of Spyro: original(1998-2005), Legend trilogy, Skylanders(comics are canon to the games) and Skylanders Academy on Netflix(this show has it's own different continuity and VERY different backstory given for Spyro, which has many similarities to Ratchet's backstory)

Spyro vs Crash reminded me a lot of Meganman vs Astro Boy. I love Megaman, and they worked hella hard to make him look cool, but the other guy was OP.
