I'll be honest, I was rooting for Carnage, I felt like he was the underdog despite his obvious durability advantage. But like I expected, Lucy was able to pull off a win. I understand that his supposed light speed was pretty much an outlier, and despite him being more resistant to heat than other symbiotes, its not at the level of what Lucy can pull off. If anything, you guys oughta be considered lucky they didn't go with his weakness to sound. Even if he's resistant to heat, Lucy could've easily abused his sound weakness. And besides, with at least 28 vectors moving at a max of mach 500 speed, her defensive game was near impenetrable by any means Carnage was capable of. And chances are, he'd be long gone before he could power through her vectors thanks to her nuke-punching strength. Its not that Carnage can't win, its just that Lucy has more available options to do so, more possibilities for a kill, and that in Death Battle proves a victor. But that's honestly just my thoughts, so think of them what you will. Feel free to disagree or agree, I just wanted to explain my opinion on the matter. And to the guy who's linking that debunk video, don't bother with me, I hate debunk videos; and besides, if you're gonna argue at least give your own thoughts and not let someone else speak for you.

There are many, but many versions of carnage nowadays, and knowing that well...there are various views on his feats then I say that the carnage from 2018 did deserve his lost, but nowadays and I think even at the behind of 2019 he become literally invencible.

So Carnage had vague feats that they had to make assumptions to while the manga for Lucy had more evidence to back her up so she could win the battle. They also excluded the symbiote merging into the Red Goblin, because he had more weapons and knowledge, than the Carnage we know. I really just don't know. This is one of the MOST confusing Death Battles they've ever made, but they did admit that this was the Most risky Death Battle they chose to make.

The way Lucy killed Carnage, it was an explosion of course, but they said he was "immune" to heat, but not completely. I need to see evidence if he's COMPLETELY to heat. Pointing out, IDK! I don't know much of these characters, so I'm justifying this from what they said in this stream and Death Battle. Somebody give me evidence that the way Lucy killed Carnage was possible.

@Antimatter20 Saying a nuke can't kill carnage because he survived orbital reentry is like saying that a stick of dinamite can't destroy a wall becaue it survived a firecracker. Temperatures encountered during reentry are in the middle 4 digits, a far cry from the 180,000 she can produce.

Heres another thing. I think Carnage’s weakness to fire is still there after the red goblin story because Goblin tries to call Carnage back to him because he removed it after spidey tricked him to do it. And then Spider-Man slams a motorcycle on top of it and it explodes which seems to have destroyed it, save for that piece of the symbiote still inside Normie.

Another way to look at the 'why didn't Carnage take over Lucy when he cut her?' to which a simple reply to that is, 'it's the animation, there's more supporting evidence that Lucy would never get hit by Carnage because her vectors are WAAAAAAAAAAAY too fast, if she is 200x faster than Carnage, then that means with her 23 or something vectors, she would be able to stop 4600 projectiles almost all at once since she's over 200 times faster than him, last I checked, Carnage hasn't been even able to throw 100 projectiles at the same time.'

They are shape shifters, they can copy wall crawling,and webbing because venom learned how mimic them, Spider-Man has tiny barbs/hairs that lets him cling to walls these are physical thing that venom and his spawn snapshot to have, webs are more or less bits of themselves grown to be use as webs. If bond to someone like ice man, they adapt to those powers, but once they separate they don't keep them. They are just really good shapeshifters, they change their physiology not their biology. Now their are some exceptions, such as Mania and Carnage who get extra stuff that are a part of them, like carnage's extra resistances and copies or Mania's hell powers. These are caused by secondary magical sources (klyntar are all weirdly affect by magic in some way) aka a hell Mark given by mephesto and chuthulu dark magics

The thing that a lot of people haven't considered either is that, even *if* Carnage was somehow able to infect Kaede with his symbiote, that doesn't necessarily mean that it's the end of the match. I mean, we've already seen that her Vectors can travel *inside* her own body without harming her, and we've also seen her multiple personalities come into play in rather interesting ways, such as one personality (Nyuu) being heavily sedated, and her more neutral personality (Kaede) then waking up/being immune to the exact same drugs that worked so effectively on Nyuu. So, even *if* Carnage was able to infect her, and even if her normal personalities were taken out of commission somehow, I don't think that the DNA voice (aka. Lucy) would quietly sit back and allow its sacred Queen to be so easily invaded and defiled like that. It would fight back against the alien infestation, using any means necessary to restore control to its host. Seriously, guys, no matter how you look at it, Carnage isn't winning this one. Not against endgame, full power Manga Kaede anyway.

Sorry I hate to come back to this, but you seem reasonable enough and this video was recently brought back to my attention. The personalities are an interesting point I haven't seen brought up before, and fighting Symbiote control IS a thing if the individual has sufficient will power, or some sort of deal to offer the Klyntar. Not sure her vectors would be of ANY help here as this is already a battle of wills if she is fighting possession, and vectors require concentration, and the Symbiote bonds at a cellular level, VERY quickly. If she attempts too much cellular manipulation, her strength....melts. I don't see many people who believe Lucy is a pushover, but DB high balls her and low balls Carnage, pretty hard. Venom apparently survived a nuke, point blank, and Carnage is Venom 2.0. But Carnage's real advantages come in that he can physically become invisible, fly and his body is amorphous and can slip through tiny cracks (nevermind that he can pull an Antman and shrink down to quantum levels of subatomic). He can also create copies of himself and stretch out to ridiculous sizes and shapes. But most importantly of all, and I quote: "I know nine million ways to kill a human body. And when I sleep I dream up more." He knows how to get to people, and how to kill, because that is all he enjoys. Edited for typo.

The thing they left out, is not much can actually kill Carnage. Only a few things can actually kill a symbiote. They didn't mention that, when Carnage was ripped in half, he was left to fall back to Earth from space and still the Symbiote survived reentry heat and then regenerate a non-existent Kasady. Not that it matters, fire isn't really a weakness for symbiotes, and definitely not Carnage. His body was gone, and still got brought back. From cannon, a symbiote can only die from suicide, a specific predator alien, and ancient god powers. The venom symbiote got disintegrated and still got brought back. The way this fight should have ended, is Lucy kills herself with execution, melting away, trying to kill Carnage and not being able to.

@@jeremy1909 He dodged it thrown at him from Electro, and you gotta have considerable speed to move to it as well as just react. I've since updated and he's a lot faster than I thought he is. He's tagged speedsters like Speed Demon and Quicksilver, outmaneuvered explosions, dodged light-speed attacks, and has even caught FTL characters off-guard with his speed. Does that mean he's FTL? No. After all, a lot of this is with Spider-Sense, and that helps him boost his speed to Relativistic levels, in my opinion.

@@jeremy1909 Spider-Sense does take a large portion in combat speed, and a lot of characters (FTL included) mention that Spidey is remarkably quick, and have been blitzed by him or otherwise caught-off-guard, as I mentioned before. I apologize for failing to mention that detail about the Spider-Sense; it's not just a simple alarm for danger. If it was, let's put it like this-- if you were warned of a dude with a gun, would you be able to dodge the bullet?

In your analysis you said Carnage survived a bomb used to kill everyone but mutants. First off shouldn’t a giant bomb that killed all humans have a greater heat than a nuclear fusion, and Second, Carnage isn’t a mutant so he shouldn’t be able to survive that. Please someone answer this for me.

It ISN'T a biological weapon, according to the comics it comes from. Exactly WHAT it is is never explained (flash fry everyone who isn't a mutant sounds like heat, or magic?). Also, there is no actual evidence that Lucy's vector creates a nuclear blast. Megatons of force, even with some increased neutron counts does not equal a fallout cloud, uninhabitable land mass, HEAT WAVE, or anything else that goes with it. :/ And without the heat (which is never shown or mentioned in the manga) she doesn't have a way to kill him.

I think the big problem with speed feats is that people mix up travel speed and fighting speed. Bruce Lee and Usane Bolt are both fast people, but in completely different ways. It's actually one of my few big gripes with death battles. Wonder woman can keep up with superman in a fight, but superman clearly wins races, nova travelling to other galaxies does not exactly mean he can fight at that speed consistently.

Even if Carnage gained the ability from specifically Norman Osbourne during their time as Red Goblin, wouldn't Carnage still keep his immunity to Fire based on how hereditary his race is? Sure, Goblin used some sort of serum for it but wouldn't the immunity still stay with him as it takes traits from others hosts? (Ex: Venom creating it's own Webbing).

So this matchup comes down to interpretation of Carnage's speed. I am sure he is not FTL, but scaling to Marvel Street Level characters including Spidey should put Carnage at massively hypersonic. The fight in my opinion would be Carnage moving close to Lucy before she can react and then Carnage can use possession or mind manipulation with the tendrils to seize victory. Although it is up to you to believe that.

Hey, Wiz, got a question for ya, or maybe it's just a counterpoint. Well, we all know that there are people with feats exceeding faster than light but it was during the Death Battle b/w Afro and Jack that you were comparing their light (awa laser) dodging/deflecting feats but see, light...moves at the speed of light but it is also what allows us to see objects via light waves bouncing off of them, so by the time one sees a lightspeed attack, it's already hit them due to them being able to see it, so wouldn't Jack's dodging light and Afro's laser deflecting feats be possible if not from some sort of precognition then them actually seeing light and reacting to it faster than it moves, which is contradictory so it's almost like *calls back to your "That's not even a thing!" response to Deathstroke 'seeing faster'.* they're able to see light faster than it can reach them? Any of those..or...they're not light based attacks, or just bad writing.

Ok but seriously guys I know no one reads these but... 1.symbiotes have camouflage... like you know that thing predator does or the Indominus Rex. Sneaky sneaky stabby stabby. It’s not his normal MO but if he can’t get through by normal means carnage does know how to get creative and has a very good understanding of what the symbiote is capable of. 2.Amorphous biomass... easily slips past the vectors, it’s basically she’s just punching a puddle and it’s not gonna do much meanwhile he just oozes on up and engulfs her. This combined with point #1. Is pretty much a guaranteed Kill for Carnage after testing her defenses to see if he couldn’t touch her normally (he can as will be debunked later in points 3&4) 3.His senses are ALL heightened due to his symbiosis and as such wouldn’t have to rely on sight alone to detect the vectors, he could listen for them or feel the vibrations in the air, there are already animals that can do stuff like this and use it to hunt (namely thinking of spiders ironically enough). All he needs to do is move fast enough to react, so on to the next point 4. He may not be FTL but he is certainly faster than electricity as both Venom and Spider-Man have fought Electro at different points in time and have proven fast enough to dodge Electro’s lightning attacks and Carnage scales to those two quite nicely, frequently coming out on the upper end of things. Just to clarify electricity through air travels about 1/3 the speed of light from what I’ve read. Which is somewhere in the hundred millions of MPH which is thousands of times faster than 400,000 MPH (Lucy’s estimated top speed) 5.Symbiotes are weak to fire in the sense that energy based attacks are just about the only things that can actually hurt them they’re biological creatures and fire is able to burn their cells however they’re not flammable and are still more fire resilient due to their healing factor. Like you see symbiotes fighting in fire or against people using fire all the time and it still doesn’t do much, and their healing is shown to be on par with that of Deadpool who has survived nuclear explosions. Also the Gene bomb despite its name was intended to vaporize anyone not holding the X-gene all across the world so while its targets were biological the process by which this would happen was literally just KABOOM and Fire it is specifically stated so in the exact comic so yes surviving a blast of that magnitude still counts unless of course Lucy being able to make nuclear level explosions doesn’t count seeing as how they’re both one time events (In short it’s their weakness not because fire hurts them more than anyone else it’s their weakness because it hurts them the same as everyone else where as other things do not) 6. Wasn’t there a normal human guy that was able to get past the vectors thus proving it’s not as impossible as it’s made out to be? Now add carnage’s abilities into the mix? 7. Going to the extremes to even come close to dealing any death blows to Carnage would certainly melt Lucy as it tends to do which would either kill her or leave her vulnerable as Carnage regenerates MUCH faster than her. (Also Lucy herself isn’t immune to nuclear blasts which expand in all directions so she’d effectively be nuking herself as well, at least at the range demonstrated in the battle) In conclusion so far, this makes at least 3 ways Carnage could get close enough to end Lucy whereas Lucy only has the 1 way to MAYBE put Carnage down that would also cause her body to atrophy and take serious possibly fatal damage as well, and when it comes down to “maybe” survival, out of the two of them Carnage has the far superior regeneration giving him the edge here as well. (Ps. Getting caught up on my Symbiote lore I just learned Carnage has had a MASSIVE upgrade recently following the whole god of the symbiotes arc to the point I seriously doubt Lucy would be able to do anything to him period)
