Several years ago, a friend of mine was part of a group of outstanding young British classical musicians who were invited to Buckingham Palace to dine with QE2 in recognition of their achievements. My friend was only 16 at the time. Champagne was served. She never told me how the food tasted but she does remember having gotten drunk for the first time in her life -- in Buckingham Palace.

Those who are frequent travellers for work know it’s not always glamorous and fun. Yes, it is a privilege, but sometimes we do feel a bit sick having to go back to yet another airport, hop onto yet another flight, getting into yet another taxi, trying to speak yet another language, checking into yet another hotel. I am glad Josh and Ollie shared some back stories of what it takes to continue to work at the pace they are expected to.

Your story at Buckingham Palace reminded me of the anecdotal story of Tycho Brahe, a famous astronomer that, if I remember correctly, was known for his precise models of the solar system. The story goes that he attended a royal banquet, had to use the bathroom, but did not as it was considered rude to get up. Afterwards, he developed a kidney or bladder infection (some suggest his bladder ruptured) and he died.

Hey! Thanks for the 45 minute episode showing the ‘year in review’. Loved watching you guys all year. So, a bit of trivia that you may or may not appreciate. The pineapple is a symbol of hospitality. This dates back a couple/few hundred years ago to when it was expensive to import/export pineapples. It was so expensive that only the super rich were able to afford them and to show guests that they no expenses were spared for them… to the point that it became a symbol for hospitality. Jessica Vanel has a short KZbin video about it if her curious. Thanks again, guys. Merry Christmas and happy New Years

Kia Ora boys, I’m a Jollybean from the South Island of New Zealand, would love to see you guys come for a proper food tour of our beautiful country, Aotearoa. You’ve tried Aussie fish and chips, but defo come try ours! Same with our seafood, and some traditional Māori food is a MUST! Same again for the meat pies here, you might just find one that rivals the award winning pies you had in Scotland (we go hard for the pies in NZ) There’s far more to explore about our country and culture though your jolliebellies than you know! Much love 💕

I'm from middle TN living in South GA now. I'm a Southern lady thru and thru. I cook biscuits and gravy a couple times a week at least. It's such a staple in Southern households. It's so funny (and nice) to hear how much you enjoyed it. There are so many different types of gravy, traditional sawmill milk gravy, sausage gravy, tomato gravy (my favorite), chocolate gravy etc. The biscuits I make are pretty standard, just Southern buttermilk biscuits but I make a different gravy every time just to change things up. It's inexpensive, easy and the ultimate comfort food.

Well, Happy New Year's boys. I say boys since I'm in my 60s. I discovered your channel in 2023. Love the content, and laughing is so great for both a person's mental and physical health. I don't think Josh and Ollie, the rest of your staff realize the thousands of lives you touch. Thank you all for what you do, from a fan in the desert of California.

I just found Jolly this year, and was hooked from the first videoI saw. I love you guys so much! I look forward to new videos next year, and hope y’all enjoy your time off! I live vicariously through the two of you, because I’m a picky eater and wouldn’t eat the majority of what y’all try 😂
