Dr. Phil interviewed some of the “cowboys”. He was inquisitive but also didn’t seem offended by it in any way and even made jokes. I agree with you. Dr. Phil demonstrated clear gender bias. Female sex workers are debased and assumed to have low self esteem. Yet, when considering men in the same occupation, they are perceived far more favorably. Male sex workers are perceived as handsome and masculine (there is far less shaming). Women are seen as whores and sluts, while men engaging in sex for money are performing a service for women with low self esteem. It’s sad and a maladaptive life choice irrespective of gender.

I was 11 living in Chicago when I was introduced to the idea of loathing oneself. Richard Speck took it up a notch. He saw eight reasons and took his time deciding which one was which. While under the microscope, experts said it was because he had XYY chromosome, organic brain syndrome or had Satyriasis. ALL THAT EDUCATION yet the system looked over the fact that he was high as a Chicago skyscraper. Seems like his motive was urged by his unconscious desire to eliminate part of society that wanted to cure rather than destroy. Sometimes mystery and confusion can be explained by perpetrators own words: his tattoo that said "born to raise hell."

This was as close to a slam dunk second degree murder with a bow tied around it as you ever get. The plea deal was insanely generous. He'd already confessed. Unbelievable. I don't believe physical attractiveness was the main factor in people's surprise at his actions. It certainly contributed but it had more to do with his lack of violent behaviour in the past. If he'd been habitually violent, they wouldn't have been shocked at all.

I do not believe that most people give beautiful people a free pass and sometimes it is the opposite. Bad behaviors in attractive men get old really fast unless he is rich...women tend to care much more about money/stability than looks. Oh my gosh. I know him!!! I can't believe what I just heard! Never when you watch these videos do you think you're going to know the person being discussed! I was driving on the highway listening to this and almost had to pull over! I went to high school with Akshaya! Kennebunk High School in Kennebunk, Maine. We took art class together! I sat directly across from him every class. I had a HUGE crush on him because he was so beautiful! But also because he was so kind and gentle, very sweet and soft-spoken. I was very insecure back in those days. I never felt like I fit in because I was gay, but I remember liking Akshaya so much because of how nice he was to me. I wasn't used to it! Most other boys in school stayed away form me: but I understood why: I was the gay kid that no one wanted to admit they were friends with. I can't believe this happened! I had know idea any of this happened until I listened to this video... Nothing good comes from doing drugs. That girl died a horrible death. But I don't think in his right mind this ever would have happened! Can drugs make people go temporarily insane? I believe they can. I pray God helps him and puts him on the right path. There is a strong misconception pertaining to those who successfully obtain their "GED"... 44% of ALL highschool graduates cannot pass the GED test, and 23% of college students Assessed cannot achieve a passing score on the first attempt, furthermore from 1947 to 2013 the GED exam was an 8th grade equivalency test, however in 2013 new requirements were deemed necessary and the newly implemented test now consists of 12th grade curriculum with college credits awarded to those who achieve a passing score above 170 out of 200, many people try and fail especially on the math portion which sometimes takes individuals years to pass with attempts in the double digits, the recommend study period to pass is 6 months of 4 hour study sessions, the GED is exponentially more difficult than the ASVAB test which is what ALL Branches of the military require to enlist, programs that hire teachers to teach students of All ages must hold at minimum a Bachelor's degree, and the test its self requires a 4 hour practice test that individuals MUST pass in order to be eligible to take the full 8 hour exam which also cost around $200 USD and if a passing score is not achieved a student must then reschedule and pay additional fees, also students are closely monitored by a proctor for the duration of the exam.

Fame too. Rock stars have gotten away with all sorts of things that regular people would go to jail for. For example, Jimmy Page (Led Zepplin) and David Bowie were both known, no secrets, to be having sex with an underaged girl. I think she was 14. Page would take her while on tour and lock he in his hotel room so that he could have sex with her when he got back.

Usually when I see a very good looking guy, especially all bulked up with muscles, I assume he is a jerk, and probably has a bad temper. Steroids give you a bad temper and I usually assume really muscular guys do 'roids. I never assume good looking guys are kind or smart so men who are attractive never make me presume the best. I also don't presume very attractive women are decent human beings. Actually now that I think about it, I agree that very good looking people have many advantages in life, generally people like associating with attractive people, but I guess I don't associate attractive with good qualities or great personalities. I don't even know why.

Thank you! I had watched another video on this not too long ago. However, I learned a lot on this video also. The other video describes more of what exactly he did to her. They found pieces of her teeth inside her stomach. Think about that? They found "pieces" of her teeth in her stomach. Her teeth were more than likely shattered due to the force of his punches. Very very brutal beating to this unfortunate lost/lonely beautiful young woman! It is again, the DRUGS out there. I have heard steroids are the worst drugs out there that can lead to very violent behavior such as this. OMGosh! What this young lady suffered thru? She was alive when he called 911.

My ex is very good looking. No one could believe that he was abusive. He always portrayed a fun and caring guy to his friends and family. At court when I proved everything he was telling them was a lie, he finally admitted it and signed the protective order. If it had gone to trial, he would've been more exposed and lost a lot of money and the protective order would've been more than twice as long, and he knew he would lose. I didn't want to see him physically so I agreed to that. Only then did some of my friends believe it. I dont speak to the others anymore. It's hard to wrap my brain around human psychology. The order is up in 2 days and I'm not looking forward to it 😔

It is not because he is good looking. If your abuser was good looking and known to be violent by others then your experience would have been different. Many people even have difficulty believing the victim when kind, gentle seeming unattractive men are the closet abuser.
