Hier in der Nähe von Wien gibt es an einigen Stellen Gräber sächsischer Soldaten aus dem Jahr 1866, zumeist wurden die in den letzten Scharmützeln vor Pressburg (damals Ungarn) verwundet und dann in Lazarette in Österreich gebracht.

Do you know what i don't understand... In germany all politicians act like, those songs are nationalistic, not fair to the times, it makes integration difficult, make hate and nazis... Nationalism is good anyway, it’s simply national pride and putting your nation and its people first and foremost, which all citizens of all nations should be doing voluntarily. So have a willingly nationalistic and proud population simply shows the unity and dedication of a people, that they genuinely care for the nations success, that if a threat arises it will be more hesitant to mess with you out of fear of the fearless defenders. There can never be any shame in prioritising the development, unity, and preservation of one’s nation, it’s people and all that makes those people unique from other nationalities. Extremism should not be mixed up with nationalism, the extreme groups exist on all spectrums of the ideological scale, and they all have more in common with each over than they do with anyone else, being destructively radical and a harmful threat to their people and humanity as a whole, marxists, nazis, white supremacists, blacks raised in hating whites for the misconstrued history they were taught, religious fanatics, terrorists, and all the rest. They are collectively the problem, but in no way can nationalism as a concept be grouped with them.

Like creating a new potential German anthem (combination of Lied der Deutscher and Auferstanden aus Ruinen) and adding a European flavor to it. Also the Palästinalied with the lyrical history of the Teutonic order. I went crazy when I saw those. I have been a fan of this channel from before KZbin started removing your videos. And I love how you brought the German culture to me. It is weird to say, but as Flemish person I often feel more German than I feel Belgian. So, it's interesting how this channel makes us think about or national identity. It goes so far that I'm planning to do a hike from Dinant (starting with a visit to fort that has Prussian memorabilia) to Sedan to commemorate unification. Keep on doing what you're doing! 😁

Because the Dutch were considered to be Lower Germans for a long time, they are part of our dialect continuum, as they consist of Lower Frankish and Lower Saxon people. Only in the later modern times they slowly drifted into their own nationality and turned their Lower German dialects into a standard language what then separated us. Some famout Dutch persons are even honored in the so called Walhalla temple near Regensburg, a hall of fame of famous Germans :)
