I feel so bad for turtle. At this point in time, I already thought Regi was washed in the mid lane and it clearly showed this game. I saw FAR more times where Regi was just engaging on his own and griefing than any other individual mistakes. Dude was solo diving past inhib turrets into a full team to try to solo out a Caitlyn. Those fights bot lane where Turtle got "caught" by Malph ults, Regi gets hit by the same damn ults. This look back just shows that Regi was looking for a target to pick on and decided to go for Turtle because he knew he wasn't going to fight back. TSM is a garbage bin org. For people asking about the pink ward and stealth ward differences, pink wards used to show EVERYTHING that was invisible, but couldn't be revealed by anything other than oracles elixir or another pink ward, making it really powerful, but expensive at 125 gold each, with an expiration timer of a standard ward on it. It used to also not block vision on other wards, making it difficult to tell if there's any pink wards around.
@zym66873 жыл бұрын
Additionally, the reason this pink ward doesn't see the Y bush stealth ward is the pink ward when placed in the arm doesn't have line of sight into to the ends of the other arms of the bush. the line between the centers of the wards leaves the bush, then re-enters the bush so the game interprets the ward as trying to see into the bush from outside. This is why you always placed your pink ward in the middle of the Y not in one of the arms, but obviously, people neglected that all the time, even in pro matches. As a support main carrying games by focusing on suffocating the enemy vision it was infuriating.

Oh boy - you'd have a blast seeing the ridiculous 4-1-0 metas and all the crazy duo jungling, duo mids, weird toplane picks, and sneaky xp strats that continually evolved over like 1-2 years... The drafts were fucking crazy as well, with toplaners and midlaners swapping roles constantly, and pick/bans fundamentally changing how the entire first 15 minutes are played. There was even a thing where people deliberately picked Karthus in toplane and died under tower. Riot only managed to snuff out the craziness by fundamentally changing how towers worked. You'll understand a lot more about why towers have plates nowadays - and why there's so many weird ass tower mechanics going on with champion proximity, hidden armor based on time etc. It's all there, because of what riot learned back then. I believe it was season 4 and 5 where this was a thing. I really recommend going back and watching old LCS/OGN games in that era. The casting was also a lot better both in EU and NA.. It wasnt just constant yelling. Deficio was just starting to transition from pro to caster under joe millers wing - and in OGN you had the most enjoyable duo of Monte and DoA for a mix of light hearted humor and (for the time) good analysis. In OGN - you got to see the ancient gods of league - who are forever immortalized for being literally gods of the game in their time. Madlife and Mata. Faker, Ryu and Date. Insec and Kakao... And all of it in glorious 720p. Meanwhile over in EU you had XPeke, Ocelote, Alex Ich, Froggen and Bjergsen - all prodigies of their time playing each other in midlane. You'll also see your fair share of AP Master Yi Pentakills. There's a reason people look back at those days as the golden days of league. If you've seen the old gods of league back then, you can really appreciate their legacies. You'll recognize many a name floating around in the league sphere today - playing their hearts out back then.

the best you could ever do in that instance is go for a kill trade, but only current ez could do that. old ez didnt have enough damage with useless w.

He could've kited towards thresh to be in range for lantern but I'm not sure if he'll even make it. Seems like he was 1 gold card from death anyway.

@@fathertime7864 bruh you can't kite a oneshot. He even if he takes latern he still dies mid flight. He would need to flash e immediately to get out of range in time.

Such a trip down memory lane watching people's reactions to Regi during this whole deal. I remember how back then most of the community hated his fucking guts and as we can see here for good reason. Like, when someone gets called an ape because of the way they look you normally feel bad for him. Reginald was the kind of person that made you feel bad for the apes.
@shoePatty3 жыл бұрын
If only he got called an ape only because of the way he looks lol... in hindsight he acts like an ape too. The alpha chimp has decreed... they lost the fight cuz Turtle got caught. HOO HOO HOO HOO

I already thought Regi was delusional, but after seeing this game myself I have to say, the government needs to contact him. Because blaming Turtle for that game means he sees things other humans just can't see.

Even when Turtle got "caught" they were still down 11k gold. The game likely going to be a loss anyway. I hope he apologized after they did VOD review but knowing Regi I bet he didn't.

There is so much more control in the game back then. What i mean is damage is controlable. Tanks do no dmg, there is no free dmg that procs for 200+ and deletes you. Everything is clean and predictable. Like a jayce combo did 15% of lulu´s hp, wonderful and tanks are ACUTALLY tanky but don´t kill you for free because of insane base dmg/procs/runes.

Regi saying how turtle is getting caught out every fight? Hello bro? Watch that last team fight at baron. Turtle did phenomenal- holy.

Super satisfying for this to resurface and get a vod review. It's almost like regi is an idiot who never knows what he's talking about. He's literally the toxic teammate you get in solo que who runs it down and instantly blames one of his team mates. We all have experienced this kind of player. Regi threw this game

As a really big Turtle fan myself ( he's the one who inspired me to start playing ADC ), I've seen some pretty bad plays from Turtle before but nothing in this particular match falls under that category. There was a much bigger mid difference than there was ADC difference and Reginald should've focused on that instead of saying Turtle was the reason they lost at the end. For example, in that very same fight, if you pay attention to Reginald, he literally ran directly onto one of Caitlins traps that had been sitting there for at least 2-3 seconds ( so he had enough time to notice it there but still didn't ) and then got absolutely blown up by Cait and TF.

@arkifane3 жыл бұрын
Regi’s whole point was kind of that they lost only because of Turtle. Xpecial was saying yes Turtle had the game losing play but, that play only mattered because they fell into a losing position due to other factors. He made the argument that if they had been 7k up in gold that play is not game losing.

Re-watching the game with Dom's commentary honestly is super eye opening on the magnitude of how much of a narcissistic sociopath Regi really was...The dude cant find faults in any of his mistakes and if anyones the reason for this loss honestly its Regi...Im pretty sure at this point Xpecial had done more damage than him...I mean its not that hard when youre flashing into 3 of them even though youre karthus...if you spend over 50% of the game staring at a gray screen you arent doing anything to contribute...

I watched this on stream already but I thought it was really cool seeing you watch old school League matches I'd really love to see more some examples being: Bjergson's first game of LCS in 2014 vs C9 (there was a teemo pick from Hai lol) Finals summer NA LCS 2013 C9 vs FNC Quarters 2013 Finals Spring NA LCS 2014 Finals summer NA LCS 2014 TSM vs SSB quarters 2014 C9 vs SSW quarters 2014 Battle of the Atlantic finals 2014 2013-2014 was my favorite era of League personally especially NA so I'm a little biased lol but I'd really be down to watch any games whether it be KR, CHN, EU, or NA (2012-2014 would be most hype imo) Again thanks for doing this video it was really fun and I hope we see some more content like this in the future :)

So true about the emergence of C9. I remember watching those early LCS C9 seasons being stunned at how they picked apart the map. The other team would force and take top tower, but then C9 would randomly (not really) then take drag and bot tower.

The saddest part about tsm is that no one had the balls or brains in the team to point out to regi that the 5/5/5 ezreal was the bright spot and the 4/7/5 Karthus diving 1v5 past inhibs was the problem.
