Never had any waste on top with tyres if you keep them close together. Pain to move but they are cheap and last almost forever. 3/5 years and the bags will need replacing unless you are very careful how you handle them.

Hey Tom, when you come to putting the roof on, may I make a suggestion. How about extending the roof 6 - 8 metres past the clamp on the right (as looking at it from beside the new shed) and Hey Presto! you have yourself the workshop that you have been wanting for ages. It would work out cheaper than building a stand-alone shed and give you somewhere to work on your toys. Cheers.
@jamesmarsh49572 жыл бұрын
you are so right we don't bother so much with the back of the clamp
@archiecairns27312 жыл бұрын
Hi Tom Suggestion - Get yourself a couple of plastic pallet boxes with open fronts to store your sandbags. Don't get lazy and over-fill the pallets - The boxes will protect the bags from falling off the pallet as you move around the yard - keeping the bags protected from damage when not in use - store the plastic pallets on a concrete pad - NOT in a muddy field - All in this should be more efficient and save you money in the long term. A tidy farmyard is a safe farmyard

We use cling film then black sheet then split tyres on top. Split tyres are great they’re like the sidewall of a super single so cover 1m square each and you carry one in each hand. No mig in the tyres and entire pit is compressed. Neighbours have gravel bags for the edge but after a few years 50% of them split and leak gravel all over when you pick them up
