Dear Sheikh Imran Hosein: I may not possess extensive knowledge of Islam and Christianity, but your interpretation resonates with the Christian understanding of the Crucifixion of Jesus (peace be upon him). If Allah SWT took Jesus's (PBUH) soul, it implies his passing. Even if Jesus (PBUH) did not have a soul during the crucifixion, the act of being nailed to the cross is still considered Crucifixion. In my humble opinion, it would be more coherent if Jesus (PBUH) was taken to heaven before being placed on the cross, and someone else, appearing like Jesus (PBUH), was crucified in his stead. Once again, I acknowledge my limited understanding, and I trust that Allah SWT knows best.

@@sabrinesaid786 -When our souls depart while sleeping, we are not clinically considered dead, as our hearts continue to pump blood, and our limbs still function. In the case of Jesus (PBUH), it would have been different when his soul departed, as he appeared dead, signifying a clinical death. It would not make sense if he were merely asleep, with his heart still functioning, while people believed that he had died.

I respect sheikh for his opinions on several matters, but in this case I would respectfully disagree with him, as Quran leterally specified that Prophet Isa A. S. was neither KILLED + nor he himself was the one who was actually CRUCIFIED... But it was all made to appear so... So if Allah is making something to appear so, we can't surpass his plan... had me, you, or all of us be present there, we all would have felt Isa A. S. as being crucified... Because the God has made it appear so... How he did that GOD knows best. But It's just similar to the fact that with all the five senses we humans have always been feeling that the earth on which we are standing or walking, isn't moving, even when we now discovered that earth is spinning fast, at a speed of 1600km/h while also revolving around sun at a massive speed of 107,000km/h.... Its because everything was being designed so by the mighty DESIGNER...

Crucifixion and being killed were CLEARLY separated by Allah in the verse just to avoid this mistake we are making. Allah says he was neither killed nor crucified. Allah qualifies the two actions to be separate. Jesus (PBUH) was not crucified, so he wasn't on the cross. If crucifixion meant dying on the cross, there would be no need for this qualification.

Assalamu Alaykum, Sheikh! In the Holy Quran, chapter 4, verse 157, there are TWO distinct things that are mentioned: "they DIDN'T KILL him" AND "they DIDN'T CRUCIFY him" 1st - "they DIDN'T KILL him" = means that Jesus didn't die on the cross. He wasn't killed at all, by no one and under no circumstances. 2nd - "they DIDN'T CRUCIFY him" = Jesus' body was not placed and nailed on the cross. If a man is crucified, it takes hours or days to die. If someone helps to remove him from the cross in time, the man that was crucified can survive the crucifixion. There is an ancient record of one person who survived a crucifixion that was intended to be lethal, but was interrupted, according historian Flavius Josephus. But in the case of Jesus, it is mentioned that his body wasn't even placed on the cross, according verse 157: "they DIDN'T CRUCIFY him" The word "CRUCIFIXION" literally means "to fasten to a cross." The term comes from Latin: "CRUCIFIXIO" (CRUCI = cross + FIXIO = fasten) Crucifying is the act of tying or nailing a person to a wooden beam or cross. The condemned man would hang for several days until eventual death from exhaustion and asphyxiation. In the most severe crucifixions, the condemned man's legs were broken, so that he could lose sustention for his body.

@@malikilyas9126how can you say that when God himself said in the Quran "that many prophets have died (before completing their mission) will you then turn your back because of it?". This verse was revealed after the battle of Uhud when the muslims thought that prophet muhammad (SAW) had died during battle and some of them fled. Also, we know that Prophets zakariya A.S and Yahya A.S were killed by their enemies.

Very perseptive to state that we accuse God of being evil in hurting Messhia. Very perseptive, you are right. But, the end is that God also raised him from dead. The Holy Bible states " God saw his suffering and was SATISFIED" That is why Salvation or Escape can be proclaimed from Jerusalem on the day of Pentecost. God satisfied. This is found in the Prophet book of Iseah 53:11 (and New Testament). My friends from Arab world please be blessed by heeding this point.

@Sheikh Imran Hosein , after Jesus comes back where does he find another body ? Or the sleeping body was lifted too ?
@SheikhImranHosein4 ай бұрын
The soul was returned to the body, and then Allah RAISED HIM UNTO HIMSELF. That is fairly simple language!!!

Dear Respected Sheikh@@SheikhImranHosein thanks for the detail explanation and I fully agree on this. Please answer 2 question on this 1. did not they burry the body after cross? 2. soul returned by Allah after they buried him then Allah raised him unto himself from grave. 3. or they kept the body somewhere to someplace neglected and then Allah returned the soul when no one is over there and then raised unto himself ... kindly explain this . Thank you so much in advance - HASAN FROM HYD INDIA.
