Was Lego Vidiyo Necessary?

If they used actual celebrities instead of random tropes I think the theme would have succeeded and the price would be justified. If they come back with that then maybe it will sell.

I agree, vidio was necessary but maybe they could have kept improving other themes like hidden side, instead of investing in a new theme that would lead them to the same place. I mean lego has the money to invest and innovate whatever they want.

Yeah I think vidiyo was necessary just like a lot of other original themes, hopefully Lego will learn from vidiyo to improve

I think if vidiyo was cheaper it would probably sell well Btw I have an idea for a video game based lego theme that I plan on putting on lego world Hopefully it’ll get green lit Because I have so many ideas and concepts for it I even have ideas for a show But anyway I like when lego try’s new things it’s cool Also is it just me or do the lego vidiyo mini figures look like fortnite skins

I would say yes, it was neccessary. Just like Hidden Side, this was about spending a lot of money on LEGO only to throw it away after wards, because youve got the App. I think Hidden Side was kinda ok, because there were some great sets for displaying (School, Schoolbus etc.). But i think Vidiyo is not that good. I hope the loss they made of Vidiyo teaches them a lesson. I think developing a full LEGO Videogame is a better way than recreating TikTok for LEGO.

It is not necessary and they tried it before with hidden side and nexo knights, those themes failed meaning that they should have already learnt their lesson with those themes.

Even though they’re app integrated themes, the concepts and executions are very different so I don’t think you can say it’s the same thing, they’re still experimenting
