Totally agree that Christopher Reeve is the best Superman!! I think Cavill could have been amazing with the right material but yeah I don’t like how dark they tried to take things at times. I didn’t know though that this trailer is 5th highest in views though, that’s awesome! And yeah, what they did with the theme was AWESOME. I’m really hoping they use the theme in this film. David Corenswet will be an amazing Superman returning his humanity to the Man of Steel. In the past will be forever the times where someone tried to turn superheroes in modern gods (thanks but not, thanks). And, of course, it's impossible not love Krypto. I think that this dog will be the king of 2025 by far.

Me too! I had little to no interest at first but the more I watch the trailer the more I’m excited for it! And yes, such a dick move twatting Superman with the can of beans. Yeah, man. I really wish we could have seen more of Brandon Routh as Superman, such a shame we never did

Agreed about Cavill... he never got the movie he deserved. Routh was great. What brought that movie down was the casting of Lois. She was too young and not a great portrayal of her.

Yeah, it's real shame because I think in the right hands, Cavill would have really flourished as Superman. Funnily enough, Parker Posey who played Kitty I think would have made an excellent Lois Lane in Superman Returns. She had that spark that made the original so memorable. Thanks for stopping by!

The funny Google AI answer to that is that it serves as a distraction, keeping everyone's eyes on the waist area instead of Kal-El's face. But the correct response would be _at most_ June 1938, in Action Comics #1. Almost every iteration of Superman had the same motif. DCEU's Superman was one of the very few that didn't have it. Plenty of circus strongmen wore the belt-trunks-tights combo back in the day, as a way to accentuate the muscles of their torso and legs. Most comicbook superheroes in both Marvel and DC started out with that motif: Batman and Robin, Aquaman, Wolverine, The Fantastic Four, The X-Men, Thor, etc, etc. Even the Iron Man Mk. 1 armor in the comics had the same look, as did the next few others. As far back as 1938, in Action Comics #1. Most likely even before that, since that motif reflected the Strongman's costume that's common in circuses and stage performances. The trunks were supposed to highlight the muscular thighs and torso of strongmen back in the day. Nowadays the trunks are replaced by these ridiculous bikini thongs bodybuilders use in bodybuilding competitions.

I grew up with the Reeve Superman in the 70s. But i prefer Snyder/Cavill Superman is the best version weve ever had. Cavills Superman used from over 77 years of comics. IMO, comics are the most important. "Your not Superman without the trunks" Anyone who says that doesnt care about Superman. His personhood is whats most important. And i hate the S on the back..Its so overkill
