Odin is credited with slaying the frost giants. And, his father and uncles "crafted the world from the remains of Ymir." So if you look at this through the lense of a nomadic peoples that walked with mammoths through Mongolia, Russia, Siberia, etc. On their way west to Scandinavia. I believe Odin was a real person.

Like saying the Israelites are God's Chosen people of Earth. Every Tribal people believed they were the ones, they had no one to dispute it, and it they did just eliminate them (like the stories of the Bible, Torah or Koran). Of course Ragnar wasn't descended from Odin. Just like the "royal families" of Europe are Usurpers and Outsiders who descend from other Tribes that eventually we all connect back too. Humans have always dramatized their importance within Nature's realm. It gives rise to ambition to believe you came from a God or the Forefather of your people. And Ambition is the fuel to exploration, conquest, and discovery. Which the Vikings had plenty of all.

Guarantee no you are not as nobody alive can prove they are related to ragnar because nobody knows who exactly ragmar was. Rollo maybe Bjorn, ivar, or sigurd maybe as there is proof they actually existed. Ragnar is still a questionable figure in history. Your claim is a bad as people committing stolen valor they all seem to be snipers, navy seals, or some form of special forces. No DNA test on the face of the planet will ever show you that your are related to ragnar. It will show that you are Scandinavian. There is no ancestry tree for anybody alive that will show raganr lothbrock/lodbrock as an ancestors. If someone's did it would be all over the place becuase it would be a miracle. Unlike you I have an ancestry that I can trace to actual historical figures. I am related to people that were involved in the Salem witch trials, Henry the 7th and 8th. Barrack Obama is my 12th cousin 2 times removed. My family friends are related to William wallace. Do you know how rare it is to actually be related in anyway to truly historical figures? Especially those who you literally have no way to ever tie yourself to. Claim what you want but you just look and sound dumb.
