@@Coco-vv8nf I think this is possibly just another plot hole in her lore, but I could imagine that someone could build a very good illegal business on smuggling refugees from Zaun to Piltover and forging papers. Like you said, it's insanely hard to make it even if you're talented, and many Zaunites are so desperate to escape that they would give you everything they have for you to get them out. IIRC, Seraphine's parents are supposed to have some sort of a musical equipment shop and the crystal was really expensive for them, so it's difficult to imagine that Piltover would just let them move like that. If they gave all their previous wealth to a refugee smuggler and had to start over, that would make sense.

Seraphine needs a lore rewrite and shes not even out yet. What if she's a spokesperson who uses her voice to spread the news of hexcrystals being from an ancient race? The pop star look could just be a skin for her and her normal look would be more Piltover like. Maybe she started as a popstar but then she learned about the hexcrystals so she used her popularity to voice this to the masses? The more people analyze Seraphine, the more I'm disappointed. The story and lore of Runeterra has been so rich and amazing, and now we have Seraphine who stands out for all the wrong reasons

One of the things that irritates me about her is her in-game model on her base skin. It's... disgusting. Not because of the excess pink, nor the flashiness, but because of her model, her poses, everything. It all just screams "low effort" to me. She's supposed to be "piltoven" (as necrit said, she looks nothing like a 'pilty') but looks like a starguardian more than any actual place on runeterra. The fact her lore is a dumbed-down, lower-effort version of Sona's lore is also an annoying factor. Like, Sona at least has motivation, a trial in front of her, *talent*, and a reason behind things; Seraphine has none of that, she's a mary sue at this point. Both in terms of "a character that's out of place in the universe" and in terms of "liked by everyone immediately, no trials, and is instantly good at whatever she tries".

Recompilation on some of the top things I don't like about her: -Looks like a star guardian for someone from zaun that moved to piltover which as far as I know doing that transition is basically impossible but for a champion it could be an exception if done well -Basically sona but 2020 edition in game and lore, instead of harp music its (k)pop -Riot always releases teasers and stuff for a champion release but for her it was all skin. Yone for example had both the event cinematic and the cinematic with yasuo a great balance of lore/skin for a new hyped champion. -I remember some time back riot said they liked to release new champions with cheap skins (1350 and for kled it was cheap down to 975 due to quality) so if you really like this new addition everyone could afford it: but with her its an ultimate because you know, k/pop + girl + im quirky and stuff = money. - Riot literally said what type of champion we could jam into k/da designed it forgot that it had to fit into runeterra since all skins are alternate universes so they put out a page long lore that seems to be written worse than one of my last minute chem lab reports.

Yone initially was seen in Runeterra. It was a strong companion who pretty much enables Yasuo's kit but their dialogue hinted on their whole backstory that we've seen in cinematic. My personal favorite one was the route where she goes to Piltovan Doctors who think she's crazy and tell her she's fake-hearing stuff about the brackern (after all, no one would believe there's just souls in your batteries). Some mega rich guy who knew the real secret about hextech, or close to it, would sponsor her to shut her up (less messy than murder and better PR). He'd help her achieve her naive dreams of unity while he keeps her from hearing the truth. Inevitably, she would meet Skarner alone somehow (probably on a trip) and would be forced to either believe the kind doctors and businessman who helped her get to where she is, or this terrifying crystal monster trying to attack her and destroy her stuff.

Seraphine is the Aspect of Symphony, a celestial being from the mystical realm of Targon who is responsible for the creation of various different types of musical instruments and sounds. I think her lore could make sense: -Zaun and Piltover are use Hex-Tech and therefore the souls of the brakken. -The soul of the brakken wants to use her to make the soul songs of the people of both cities ever more similiar until there is no difference between anyone and they become something of a hivemind. -Since she can hear the souls of the brakken and they are in HexTech (and they are resistant to her attempts to influence them), they will, in essence, force their song upon the people of Zaun and Piltover. -> The Brakken use Seraphine to make Piltover and Zaun part of their hivemind and Seraphine is unable to understand this evil plan.

@@chukyuniqul I agree. Nothing inherently wrong with her as a little character Riot has for social media. But meeting KDA and suddenly having sona's abilities and looks like sona and zoe had a baby it's just too much! Even I as a leftie with dyed hair i am sick of these champions! there are far too many. I haven't liked anything released in 2019 and 2020 except Lillia because fauns and centaurs are dope, period.

@Kvothe Windrunner not really, Zhaun is kind of the "slums" of Piltover, though they are seen as their own city, or at least it seems Piltover doesn't really care that much about them in general afaik So no, they're not at war, they just really don't like each other

@Kvothe Windrunner never said they're opressing them. it's more of a Zhaun is where the poor people of that region live (I'm not sure about this, but I think they're technically the same city, though that could be wrong from the beginning or wrong now after it splitted)

@Kvothe Windrunner well, I find that it is kinda implied that the poverty of Zhaun is a result of/necessety for Piltover to keep their relatively high standards of living. thuogh it formed more like slums do - the poor people only have money to live where it's dangerous because who can afford it won't, while the work no one wants is still done by those cheap workers. I'll be honest, my loreknowledge, especially towards the regions and such is kinda dusty except for what necrit covered lately so I could be wrong, but that's atleast how I saw/see those two as of yet (though a thought that popped into my mind was that her story might have been an article instead of a "real" description made by those people who try to use her as a puppet to stay in control, maybe without her knowing - though that's more a fringe theory than anything I'd put a serious discussion on for ^^")
