Congratulations on doing 1.2 million in your first year. That is really phenomenal growth for your first year and tells me you're doing many things right! I am a retiring insulation contractor of 40 years and will be selling my business soon, hopefully to someone with the business acumen that you guys possess so it can make the next guys another million. Good job guys!

Praise the Lord you’re doing well. You came up on my KZbin feed and I remember your last video a year ago. You’ve inspired me, to learn the insulation business. I’m in commercial roofing, and may start my own or all together learn insulation. So glad you made a successful first year.

Thanks man. If you know roofing really well then do what you know best, you will make more.

Retrofit is the way to go man working with builders or other trades is a massive headache and slows you down plus in Retrofit you get to clean and pay to vacuum the cavities and the customer already lived in the house enough to know they want superior materials which ensures every client gets above average results. We donthe exsct same think only we dont do blow in products gravity compresses the material over time and if you keep spraying more over the top it eventually gains too much weight. Ceilings collapse in Australian homes from blow-in all the time. We also have 50°C - 60°C roof cavities in Australia so I can tell you right now Earthwool Batts by Knauf are the Rolls Royce of Inaulation Batts, and the more you spend the more you save so its cheaper to spend more. Working with existing homes is a clever approach thats helped us out hugely and you don't have to go crazy on volume because every home is worth more this way. Love the video!!!

Thank you for information. Very informative. From my own experience, starting a business can be very humbling. I was thinking of starting the same business in NY, would love to get some advice. I have a few questions. Any way to reach you?

I’m trying to start one here in Canada Alberta but I’m not sure who to market the product to now. I was thinking construction companies but still wondering who are the best businesses to market too?
@freedomdriven90555 жыл бұрын
New construction if fine if thats what you want to do. I would talk to your insulation provider to get on some bid lists. I do retrofit and a lot of marketing to get our leads.

Do you need a license in the state that you are in?
@freedomdriven90555 жыл бұрын
We are in couple different states but yes we need a license in all of them. The contractor course is a few hundred bucks usually and a few days.
@dominiquemckenzie72735 жыл бұрын
Ok so if I wanted to start my own insulation business I’d have to take a contractor course to get a license? I was told that in Florida I didn’t need a license I just want to be sure.
@freedomdriven90555 жыл бұрын
Ya your right in some states you dont have to which is nice since it would be cheaper in your case.

Can you give me any advice on starting up?
@freedomdriven90555 жыл бұрын
I would just say get familiar with your competitors and make sure you out work them and live like your poor so you dont go under. Also be honest and ethical with all your customers to make sure you keep your name reliable.
