Was the holiday a DISASTER?

It's the start of the Slaw's late summer holiday and it very nearly doesn't start!
They are travelling in their Hobby motorhome Helga ‪@HobbyCaravan‬ with their two Lhasa Apso dogs, Billy and Jessie.

Good video. Lovely site. Wish all sites were that cheap. We never overplan. I pick the area and we work from there. That way you can stop if something catches your eye, or stay longer if you like the area, or move on if the weather turns. Also we only ever use a motorway if we have too. You see so much moreby sticking to the older routes, passing through old towns and villages. Enjoy France.

It was a lovely little site! Sadly we only had 11 days this trip and we wanted to get to the sun as quickly as possible. We took a week to go through the old towns on the way back 👍🏻

Don't panic Mr slaw you can always get the next ferry lol ,cant believe you forgot oni vaa we all sat at home and said it 😅this trip will be interesting as its later in the year I'm planning a 4 day trip to France around the 23/10 to honfleur to give my twin brother his first trip to the continent in his motorhome 😮 we done it back in August for 10 days and loved it . Your back to your best entertaining us and getting grumpy which we can all relate to when trying to get to the ferry 😂😂 so have a great trip cant wait for the next vlog take care the gowerz Portsmouth xx ❤

We are only 40 minutes from the ‘Ull’ terminal. Don’t think we will ever do Dover again as it’s so easy on the ferry to Rotterdam. Less chance of traffic jams or French strikes too :) We didn’t plan our journey out and back. We found some gems too and NO kids :)

We are just on our way back from Port Grimaud again (Holiday Marina Resort) it was a consistent 29c 30c but stopped in Trevoux Kanopee Village on our first leg home on the River Soane i thought it would be cooler further up north but no way it was 35c very intense heat but nice being by the river. 😂😂😂😂 oh this was just pure entertainment. I'm so glad you made it onto the ferry just in time but we've chuckled all through this video😂 twisting Slaw's ears whilst kissing him was hilarious. Smacky-bum-bum is back much to my husband's delight😉 and getting naked worked out well as that was a beautiful campsite you happened across. Slaw snapped the bin while he was nowhere near it😂 ....of course it was his fault. We can't wait for the next installment! The stars of the show were as good as gold left in helga on the ferry...hugs to them both ❤

Ha ha! Thanks Peta! Just to confirm, Slaw had broke the bin off camera while he was stomping round trying to find his sandals 🤣 I didn’t realise until I went to put something in it when the camera was turned back on. There is a Blue Peter sketch in a couple of vlogs time when he redeems himself 👍🏻

oh my ..... I watched this yesterday and last night I dreamt we were going from Dover to France, something we used to do some decades ago, and we were supposed to get a train, probably the Chunnel, but there was no train and were told to get on a ferry, but we didn't know where to go and we weren't even in a car and my husband was not trying to find out what to do, so I was asking around and got directions. My dreams are all weird and blurry, it didn't make it to the end of the story. Well we'll find out how your holiday went soon... enjoy....

We have used the pet lounge a few times. It's not a problem with Reggie getting up as we are generally the first few on the boat and the lift is available. Getting back though...😮😮😮 The lift is packed with the lazy, and the stairs are a nightmare!!! Back to UK on Friday... On y va!

Hi , we have same motorhome as you with large fridge , hoping to visit France next year , just wondered do you leave your fridge on 12v then switch to gas when parked on an Aire if there is no elect plug in ? I prefer going over Dartford Crossing for Free after 2200 or before 0600. Less traffic at night on motorways and in ports. My plan is no plan until 2 hours before sunset then look for couple of night parkup's.

It’s a good plan to avoid the awful traffic at Dartford, but we want to park up well before sunset so we have time to explore the area or take some time to relax. Two hours before sunset would mean we would be travelling all day and that’s not for us 🚍☀️

As much as I appreciate Mrs Slaws behind... have you ever thought about an Emovis tag ? I've had one for 2 years now, and it's a game changer at the tolls. After the initial setup, it only costs a £5 a month, and that's only if you use it. You are invoiced at the end of the month, it's all done from the UK too, anyway. I just thought I'd mention it, but knowing how Mrs Slaw is so organised, I suspect you've looked into it already.
