The clue is in the name "Jew" - the shortened, anglicised way of saying Judean

I absolutely agree with Ollie You only disagree because of your philosophical frame work of scientism or naturalism

Jake you can’t break down a theory by disproving the parts. Obviously that statement needs to be broken down. But if I told you that the Celtics won 8 championships in a row because of 1) Bob Cousy best guard 2) bill Russel best center 3) best defense in the league 4) best offense in the league 5) most offensive rebounds in the league. (Those are not checked true statements) You could argue that each one individually is possible and connect it to a championship. What you can’t do is connect it to 8 championships in a row. 1)You can say there are other prosecuted people 2) you can say there is a minority people that produced noble peace prize winners disproportionate to their population. Etc. You cannot put all the pieces together and the people have a book of prophets that are accepted by at least half the world. Ie: Christianity plus. That lay out what has happened to the Jewish people. Hard to understand why your critical thinking goes out the door when it comes to Judaism. Even that proves that there is a G-d. 😂

All religions are just popular cults. It may have served an evolutionary purpose, but that is arguable. What isn't arguable - as in to me it is completely obvious - is that these days religion serves to make humanity less intelligent. Nothing closes the mind more than belief in something that isn't real and applying it to answer questions that you don't have scientific answers for yet. Existence is a mystery. We are inside it so we can't look at it from the outside. Our basic human right, the most natural state of our existence, is to not be able to know everything. That should be embraced. Instead we think we have some god to pray to.

You for all intents and purposes called the founders of Zionism "Torah Believers." The reason they wanted to go back to Israel is because that is where they knew they were from. You can bring up the whole idea about Herzl discussing Uganda; but that was only bec they thought the Ottomans wouldn't let them return.

Jake you sound like the person that tries to explain the splitting of the sea by saying it was high tide. We have a book called the Torah that we believe (logically, scientifically, historically) was given to us by G-d. Hence it is only logical to believe in the Divinity of the book that has been passed down as truth and not disproven. A simple example is G-d lists the pig as the only animal to have split hooves and not chew its cud. You can say good guess and not everytime someone guesses some fact from 3335 years ago does it mean it’s Divine. But that’s the wrong side of the argument. It’s way more likely that’s true. I believe 100% but even if it’s 60% to you that’s the way you should live life. As you almost always live your life according to deductive reasoning vs empirical. If you have a question post it. Will be happy to help.

If you read the Old Testament you will see that the Jewish people have been mixing with other nations /races. I have a friend who married a Jewish woman and they have two children one is a male, and the other is a female, they both have children from non-Jewish mates. Now the female children will be Jewish and the males will be non-Jewish? Now they both have female children who will mate with non-Jews but the daughter from the female will be Jewish. I am sorry to inform you but they children are not Jewish.

The claim that randos from Belarus and Brooklyn have more in common with Iron Age inhabitants of the Levant than modern day Palestinians is one of the wildest scams. Free Palestine.
