Coincidentally it's the only gomlok fully built in the game. In all seriousness gomlok isn't bad but you get him far to late to get much use out of him.

I already have Stag Knight and Serris and I’m just starting DT Hard and just got Akoth and am farming DT normal. Both of those epics are better than Gomlok as a Dec Def/Atk champ

Scyl is early game and fantastic. Depending on your luck, Rhazin is an early game lego.

@@Crimea_River I mean I was able to get Rhazin Visix and Scyl in my first 180 days and they’re all great Lego’s to get started, not too OP, but very useable and pretty easy to build early and upgrade as you go.

The main takeaway for me from this video is a rebuild for my frozen banshee in a new team that clears ig25 in a quarter of my average time right now. Thanks for that! :) Good thing I watched a video about a Champion that will still take me 50 more secret rooms in hard doomtower; that i will then collect for 500 Points in a Fusion Event for the Champion Chase, just to Vault him forever or until he gets a serious buff

Awakenings are the new end game. In essence NO PLAYER is end game any more! Which is genius on Plarium's part. I pulled a 5 star perfect for void rare Harvester and in my faction wars she went from zero to one-hit Phantom Touch hero. The diversity of this game a year from now will be astronomically changed as far as meta. Super cool aspect of the game.

A few big notes on comparing the apples and oranges here: Brimstone triggers after the enemy turn, and this has it's plusses and minuses. For Fire Knight, he has his shield back up, and for dangerous doom tower bosses they actually take their turn, even if the damages were identical. However, this is also a blessing specific to ice golem as this can (and by magnitude of damage will) skip an ice golem counter. Brimstone can also proc multiple times on all bosses, where as reap is limited to the finish. Reap triggers on your own turn, which prevents nasty abilities like a Fae heal from going out, and can be the difference maker. It is the defacto go to when you are going against bosses who refresh their health bar, like Hydra.

Blessings: soul reap activates everytime Gromlock takes a turn. brimstone activates when the enemy takes a turn. on a TM control champ, option #1 (soul reap) is better.

Lydia is always better on IG because she can do the clutch block revive/revive on the rare occasion that Frozen Banshee does a bit too much damage to the IG boss and triggers his nuke.

​@@cryptfire3158 The point is that FB does do damage with her hits as well which could trigger the passive if it happens to be close to a HP milestone. It usually wont happen which is why George also called it a rare occasion.

Honestly I would never use him for those reasons, however if I pulled that I would put intimidating presence on him. While it really might not serve as great of a PVE purpose, it would basically secure you winning the speed fight in arena. A player who got him might not have focused on arena and still need to farm medals. Not to mention with the aura boost you could sub him in for a turn meter manipulator.

A player who got Gomlok cleared 100 Secret Rooms in the hard doom tower. There is absolutely no way you don't have a single champ better suited for whatever you wanna use Gomlok for. Besides some future DeadwoodJedi Faction Games or Faction Crypts (and even for that I am not really sure) I don't see a reasonable usecase for him

shes good all around content, her heal is insane and slight cleanse will keep you alive and block dmg.shes worth the build for sure especially if you dont have a strong healer/cleanser..good champ

I have a 3-star Taurus with a Cruelty blessing. Increased my clan boss damage by 2-3 million per key. Enough to make an occasionally 2-key team into a usually 2-key team. I happy enough with that for now.

I won the Eternal Soulstone from the Hero's Path on my Account which is free-to-play! And Almost 80% of the points were from champion training. I didn't really have any shards saved up. (Only 2 Sacred Shards) P.S. I have a Gomlok and a Lydia, and still no Allure. 😞

I was afraid of that. This will further separate us ftp folks from the whales, especially in the Arena. I saw an ENTIRE team with 6*, ALL RED..... a week ago! How can they possibly get that done already? Now, when we try to choose our opponents, we have to watch for the blessings, or curses. Plarium just showed us how they feel about us ftp deadbeats.

That's literally the only content in the game that it benefits only whales and the upside is getting medals faster and some small amount of ok gear once a week. As a ftp player I would much rather take bonuses for single player content as I'm not trying to make platinum arena...

@@mikecraig2996 exactly, ftp is never going to compete in Plat arena so it's a non-issue really. And anyone can get into gold 5 in the arena's current state. Blessings can however help in all non pvp content which helps ftp or spender.

I have him in bolster set for fw. Very good for fw but I don't use him somewhere else. If they make him smack then he will be much more useful. I don't have septimus, if I get him I will consider building this team, currently I use 2 alure for dark fae and it takes longer.

In Dark Fae fight brimstone killed the stolen hero right away, right? That might be a step forward to consistency. But that's about the blessing not about the champion - his TM steal seems great on paper but doesn't seem to do much against Dark Fae. I wanted to try him in FW in farming stage 21 but don't want to spend so many books. Does anyone uses him there? Unfortunately HH doesn't see fw 21 farming as a potential use for champions :)

Personally I would do cruelty on him. He is a debuffer and being 6 stars he is your best defense debuffer you own. He is putting the -60% defense and then another 20 on bosses and 40 on non bosses. That extra from the blessing cannot get cleansed and doesn't drop off. He is now your best debuffer for dmg.

The big problem with Awakenings is that there are a bunch of niches that don't really have anything that works for them. PvP Poisons and Burns got Awakenings, but all-purpose buffers, pure healers/revivers, debuffers, and anyone who attempts to tank doesn't really have an Awakening that's very good for them. Look at how many champions you recommend take Brimstone or Phantom Touch. I'm not saying those are bad, but you can only have one Smite up at a time. So you use one Brimstone champion per team, and then what? Stack Phantom Touch? That kinda makes pulling Legendary awakenings feel crappy, you know?

yeah.. the concept of having various blessings to choose from sounds cool in theory. But your right. And so many blessings are about as useful as Joe Biden. I think it's fine that not all champions are balanced.. so you can feel excited when you pull a Hephak, a Baron or a Seer. But, blessings on the other hand NEED to be balanced otherwise they become braindead-uncreative.

I'd have been interested in how much Cruelty reducing defense would have sped things up. At rank 6 it reduces by 4% per hit (warmaster procs also do the reduction) up to a max of 20% on a boss. Of course DTh 120 Dark Fae has like 15,000 defense, so even with weaken/decrease defense/cruelty, you're still talking about 5-6k effective defense.

My 2 eternal soulstones had 5* epics in them i do not use at all. Sold a 5* kyoku for enough coins for the second one. So far nothing good out of those stones for me. So awakening that gomlok was the correct move imo.

literally the best soul i've pulled so far is a 4 star Narma who is sitting at level 50 in the vault. pulled a 5 star epic from my eternal and even if i sold every single soul i've pulled so far, i wouldn't even have enough to buy a second eternal soulstone...

If you still had the soul reap vs the waves in ice golem, he would have finished them off. Also giving him up would just give you a 5 star for an epic you'd never in a million years use or one of the completely useless legos. You need to value these things like a rational thinker, not like someone who thinks every time they'll pull they'll get a 6 star Trunda. That's the equivalent of thinking you'll pull 3 legos on a random 10-pull of blue shards.

I don't think this is a tough decision at all. A 6* star ascended Gomlock takes him from good to great. This isn't the last 6* you'll get. I say do it. If you recycle it, yea you "could" get a 6* Mithrala but you could also get a 5-6* Yaga.

if you got a good damage champion and your about mid game. You can throw crazy hard hitting slow gear on him to speed up runs. The slowness reduces the number of animations is part of the thing.

Another gross lack of common sense in Altar of Souls...........WHY DO WE HAVE TO USE CURRENCY TO BUY CURRENCY? What were they thinking?
