This was a scam from the get-go. The intent was to abscond with as much money as possible, and it will work, chargebacks or not, they will pocket a decent amount of change. They should be arrested.

Getting shut down by Sega seems like a vital part of the scam. It's what you call an Exit Strategy and it allows them an opportunity to fold up the table and walk away.

Normally there are no chargeback fees for SEPA at all, a certain percentage of chargebacks is considered normal and is just calculated into the system. Unless someone really screws up and starts receiving a very large number of chargebacks, then that's usually like a handful EUR plus a couple percent per transaction not even that wild compared to what he collected off each preorder.

I'm an electrical/computer engineer and i can tell you the board as shown isn't functional, it's a doodle by someone with 4 year old's understanding of electronics. Alejandro says he had hundreds of these boards and cases ordered and in manufacturing and was ordered them destroyed by SEGA but it's clearly not the stage to be manufacturing anything. He said he was poor and broke, and then he rolls up in an orange Lambo where he doesn't really have control of the clutch, tell me if you think he really owns it, and now he claims he's had to sell his Lambo. Collecting people's SEPA mandates well it's not something anyone ever does unless you're a trusted payment provider or a utility and you generally don't even give SEPA to subscription services maybe with some exceptions, it's sort of a filter that selects for people who have no common sense at all. It's pretty clearly we're dealing with a charlatan here and if you want to find a kernel of truth somewhere in his story well be my guest.

Alejandro is a decent guy. Ask anyone who knows him in Madrid. He is well known in Spain. He has never scammed anyone. You entirely misread the situation. The Console they have is real. They have an electronics engineer who is a friend of Alejandro who also helped him build the Fran 8K camera. But I get it you have to grift on this for your channel.
