What a fascinating place. You captured it so well. I honestly think the Eureka flag should be out national flag. It is definitely a place I'd like to visit one day!! Awesome work Drew!!
@DrewsAdventuresGo3 ай бұрын
I think you're spot on Heather we should do that or at least have a flag that represents the Australian story moreso than the current flag. Thank you so much my amazing friend 😍

You should definitely go back for a 2nd look, mate. There's a lot of updates, as you'll see. It's a really unique event in Australia and I'm glad they made this centre to acknowledge it. Thank you so much and hope you're keeping well my friend 😃

Excellent video Drew I'm so glad to finally see some more Australian history! Hope you make a few more of these types of videos:) We also have a Eureka, California! Very North Coast Port Town but it's referring to the California Gold Rush of 1849! (That's why the San Francisco NFL team is called the 49ers) Looks like yours was only 2 years later in 1851. Surrounded by beautiful redwoods as well.
@DrewsAdventuresGo3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much Nannerz and I'll definitely try get some more of these style videos up 😍. I have heard of Eureka CA and that is a neat story as to why the 49ers are called that name. I really must try get to the Redwood forest in Victoria, for you 🌳

Suitably reverent 🤫😇Thank you. Mad, Sad and bad that the CFMEU union has now disgraced itself and this flag with its corruption. 😢
@DrewsAdventuresGo3 ай бұрын
Thank you so much mate and I agree there. I hope the powers that be can rid the union of that sort of stuff. The grass roots members deserve nothing less than transparent and accountable leadership.

I hear you there Peter. Did you live in either Ballarat or Bendigo? I spent some time living in Hoppers Crossing in western Melbourne too. Absolutely love Victoria and just wish it was more affordable 😂 . I loved this place so much and I'm glad that my passion for the story came through the video, too. Thank you so much my friend 😍

Yes I have heard of Broadmeadows mate and Glenroy. I recall my ex calling me as I was walking around "Broady" and he was panicked thinking I was gonna get in strife with someone there cos apparently it has / had a slight reputation. I think it's awesome you have been able to live in so many places. I love SA but Vic and Queensland too I'm hugely fond of and spent some amazing times in my life in both states😍 💯

I agree it'd be under a few more layers of protection I reckon haha. It was melted down and sold to London's Mint where it was turned into Gold Sovereign coins. They are themselves quite collectable and valuable 🪙 😍
