I lived there from 1973 to 1980. Papa bilong me was kiop. It is now by far the most violent city in Australasia and "WILL ALWAYS BE"..Nothing will change there....

That’s great but it’s not your job as the media to romanticize Port Moresby. Down Town and areas where the upper class live are fine, but the city is poorly managed and walking alone is a hazard for anyone who isn’t a young able bodied man (they also get targeted too sometimes)

How is News-In-Depth allowing tax payers to comment on a tax payer funded entity but the actual ABC doesn't. Nor does the SBS. For every video with comments turned off, the ABC should lose 1% of it's funding. That solves that issue quickly.

I'm Papua New Guinean, and I can tell you it's worser than it is portrayed on mainstream media. You think Port Moresby is bad? Just wait till you visit other provinces. This video by ABC proved nothing. It's a great country. Diverse and rich in agriculture and oil and gas, but living wise, yeah bad place to live in.

40 plus years ago, a beautiful friend of mine, who's since passed...gave PORT MORSEBY a chance due to his work opportunities. He was mid 20's, honest, hard /working and loyal....came back to NZ broken, and scared shitless after 10 short months. Sorry, the place hasn't changed.
