As a Nuggets fan and a team USA fan, I just tuned into the game and let instinct take over to determine who I rooted for. It took about 2 minutes into the game to realize I was avidly rooting for Jokic and the Serbian crew who came out and gave all they had - and almost pulled off the upset. Jokic is the ultimate team player and has brought us a championship and is class through and through. Serbia can be proud and look at the relief of Team USA. They know they barely escaped a defeat.

That was the greatest game of these Olympics for sure. To make that US team, packed with the best this time, doubting the way they did, kuddos to Serbia. Until Team USA evened the score at 3 minutes from the end, I was like "wow, they are going to do it". They really played their best, high intensity, fantastic shooting, great defense, great movement. What a treat in Paris.

I am a Serb. I grew up watching the NBA. Especially MJ period and Sacramento Kings against LA Lakers. Now of course I follow the Denver Nuggets. I have great respect for all USA stars. These are the best players on the planet. I don't like Joel Embiid's behavior. As an Olympic sportsman, this guy need to learn to behave. Something about the game. Serbia played wisely, precisely and in its own rhythm. What my compatriots complain about is not only judges who are not up to the task. The basic basketball rules bothered us the most. The USA stars constantly made mistakes in their steps and carrying the ball. This is unacceptable for European basketball. Congratulations and good luck in the finals.

It's sad to see how people from USA don't know FIBA rules and what mistakes referes made. But also I can't blame you because you guys are watching only NBA. First of all I think even after so many mistakes from referes Serbia should have won because game was in their hands but I'm writing this comment to explain Bogdan's post. I will just point out few big examples that should have been called. Embid and Lebron travelling weren't called (that's 4 point's less). Half court violation for Serbia when KD poked the ball from Bogdan, that was so stupid because rules says if enemy player touches the ball then you can pass half court (that 1 more posesion for Serbia). And most stupid call of all was KD 3 was counted when Jokic made his 4th foul. Rules says that if ball didn't left shooter hand when faul was made then basket doesn't count and you can clearly see that KD didn't realese the ball (so that's 3 point less for USA). So in the end USA should have had 7 point less and Serbia should have had 1 more posesion.
